So I am thinking about the next time we take our trip. The first trip we ever took was very short and the end of Feb the weather was so cold and windy! Then we went this past December the 2nd week so crowds weren't to bad and very manageable but again it was cold. We had one super nice days then the rest of the week days started in the 40s and cold and didn't get to warm and nights were cold also. Christmas party night we were bundled up in a blanket. I really really want to go when its not cold and actually feel good outside but crowds are our biggest thing. We refuse to go during school breaks and when its the most crowded. I've been looking into Sept this year the crowds are a 1-3 the first few weeks and it looks amazing. I would love to go when the crowd level is a 1. But I worry about the heat. I hate the cold but I also hate sweating just standing outside because its so hot and humid. We are in VA so we have 100 degree days with humidity. I know that in Sept it will be pretty hot and humid. Is it worth having such low crowds but dealing with the heat? Our kids would be 4 and 7 when we went again and my husband and are I 31 and 40 so were not unable to stand the heat or anything. Who has been this time of year and was it just not fun being so hot all day long? Any advice would be great. I've love to go and it be like 70 and sunny but I know that's never going to happen ha.
