Anyone out there try to eat low-carb or Atkin's Diet regimen at the Epcot "Le Celler" restaurant?
What was your experience?
I am trying to list one restaurant per thread and talk about low-carb eating at that particular restaurant.
A lot of us on the DIS W.I.S.H.(We're Inspired to Stay Healthy) forum are trying to eat low-carb or Adkin's Diet at Walt Disney World.
I will list some of the low-carb foods from the menu below. I can add or subtract the foods as we learn more about the hidden carbs. Maybe we can even add the nutrient values to each food. You can use the links below to research the whole menu. Who wants to start?

Walt Disney World Epcot "Le Cellier Restaurant"
August 12, 2002, Tuesday, 7:00 P.M.
When I called WDW dining to make my priority seating, I asked the castmember to please note "diet restrictions". They had various terms, but not Atkin's Diet, or one with no sugar, no flour, no rice, and low carbs all together. So they listed "other," which was fine because when I arrived at the restaurant, they had to ask me specifically what my diet restrictins were.
When I arrived at Le Cellier, the Castmember Host acknowleged my diet restriction notation and said that my Castmember waiter "Victoria" from British Columbia and the Chef "David" would help with my selections.
This was the best service that I have ever received from any WDW restaurant.
Chef "David" came out to my table and asked me what I needed, and he said that he understood, because his Dear Wife was using the Atkin's Diet.
These are the recommendations and changes that Chef David to his Le Cellier menu that he made for me.
He suggested the Mixed Field Greens Salad with a low-carb vinaigrette without the croutons and carrots. I requested if I could have the "Creamy Caesar Dressing" (0.5 grams per two tablespoons.) on the side.
They did not bring the wonderful bread out, but they brought the salad out right away instead. I drank water and Diet Coca Cola for dinner.
Chef David suggested the 14-ounce New York Strip Steak aged over 60 days for rich full flavor (0-carbs.). Instead of the roasted yukon potatoes, Chef David suggested the "Jumbo Grilled Asparagus" (~3-carbs) with some special "Bearnaise Sauce" (0-carbs) on the side. This was delicious.
I added the "Oven Roasted Wild Mushrooms" (<2-carbs) which came out in a 7-inch black pan for a side order. I could only eat a 1/4 of them ...lol.
For dessert he specially made a 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries (~4-carbs.) with te canned regular whipped cream (~0.5-carb per two tablespoon.)
I was full and I could not finish everything...lol.
Victoria and Chef David were very kind and attentive and made my meal a pleasure.
I was so impressed with "Chef David", I honored him a "WWWD" "What Would Walt Do" pin. He didn't know what it was for, and I told him it was for his excellent service, his excellent listening skills and attentiveness to me and others requesting his services. I need to post his name on that WWDW website. And I gave Victoria a most excellent tip.
