Low carb at WDW?

Has anyone had any specific successes with low-carbing at the world?

I've checked out AllEars, but I'd love to hear more "I had x at y and it was amazing!" accounts.

I'm kind of low-maintenance, so I feel like I'm inconveniencing a kitchen when I make a big whoop-de-doo about eating low carb at a restaurant.

(I know about the turkey legs!)

I don't know how long you have been low carbing, it appears to me alot of the CS meals are very accommadating for all diets. I have seen a lot that come with carrot sticks instead of FF. Tusker House serves the 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken served with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables $7.99. Omit the taters and you are good to go! The chicken salad sounds delish too!
I could go on and on...are you looking for table service or counter service?

I'm more interested in full service and hidden treats, I guess...

i.e., does any place carry low carb cheesecake or ice cream, etc...

There's a pretty good thread from a couple of weeks ago:

which included a link to this really useful page:

From my own experience (not completely low-carb, but choosing to avoid some carbs), I simply asked for extra veggies instead of potatoes, and had no problems at several table-service restaurants. Also, there's a outdoor vendor in AK near the safaris that has cut up veggies with dip - a great afternoon snack!

Can you say Turkey Leg?? Doesn't get any more low carb than that....just don't add any bbq sauce...add a diet coke or water and wahla.....low carb breakfast, lunch, dinner and/or snack. I always get grilled steak or chicken, no sauce, side of steamed veggies and a salad, unsweet tea, I don't really take the time to count the carbs, I just know that this type of meal is not very much.

Sorry, its getting late, I completely missed the fact that you already knew about the turkey legs....Hope the rest works for you.....Most of the restaurants including the counter service ones offer some type of vegetarian menu, just ask what it consists of, its always hard to judge your carb counts when you eat out, There's always the burger minus the bun, and you might could just order the meat from the sandwich to top a salad, say like order a small salad at counter service and instead of a chicken sandwich just order the breast from the sandwich and if they won't do that then just take it off the bun. Sorry for rambling hope it helps. Oh, at Pirata y el Perico in Mk I ate the taco salad minus the chips it was good and carb cutting.
