Hello,
If anyone else is low carb (sugar free) and dairy free, dining or snack suggestions would be most welcome. I watch my carbs and cut out sugar because I otherwise have high blood sugar. The dairy issue is lactose intolerance. Since most low carb people can (and do) eat cheese, milk, butter, as a large part of their diet, this can be especially challenging in restaurants.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions. :)

if you have high blood sugar are you on any medication for it that can help you a lot
you can order a meal anything with meat in it and just not eat the bread that comes with it. there is an app called calorie king that has a lot of food calories carbs and fats in it this can help you see what foods will be lower carbs then others. At disney there is a lot of walking and this will help with bringing down blood glucose levels

Overall, WDW is a very friendly place for people with food allergies and issues.

This page at the official WDW web site is a great place for you to start.

You can plan ahead - to some extent - by going to the WDW website, and looking at the regular menus for each place you would like to eat. That will give you an idea of the type of food served there, and the modifications you might be able to request.

As far as I know, most of the Table Service restaurants can modify menu selections to some extent; all of them are very experienced in working with people who have food allergies. I myself have several true (life threatening) food allergies, and have never had a single issue dining at WDW.

Final tip: Often, the Chef (or occasionally a Manager) will come to your table at a TS restaurant to discuss your dietary issues. Remember to be up-front with your answers to their questions; their goal is to serve you the best possible meal they can.

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, i recommend diabetes education with a certified diabetes educator and a nutritionist. This should be covered by health insurance. These professionals will work with you on food combinations that should work for you and on how to use a glucose testing meter to check how certain foods and combinations and quantities of foods affect you as everyone is different. You may also want to try Lactaid pills before consuming dairy to see if those would help you continue to enjoy dairy foods.

When and how much you exercise also has a large effect on blood glucose levels.
