can i just say that DS's first haircut at the MK barbershop was absolutely priceless?!!! i knew i wanted to do it before we went but once we got there i just wasn't sure we were going to have time, but on our last full day i decided to go for it because the line was so short. i am SOOOOOOOOO Glad that we did it because it was wonderful and an awesome memory. it doesn't get much more magical than this!

This sounds great! I want to do this for DGD when we take her. I am really hoping she can go with us next November. I wouldn't mind a little pixie dust myself! I actually have some pixie dust (actually called that but it looks like pink glitter) that I got somewhere and use occasionally myself. Just a little on the side or underneath...subtle. My DS13 always notices but I'm not sure anybody else does. Not near the same as Disney World pixie dust but a little touch of magic, nonetheless!

I knew about the barbourshop, but didn't know they painted hair too. We're headed to Disney next week and one DD had her haircut today. If I would have seen this earlier, I would have waited! I was going to have my other DD get her hair cut this week, and now I guess she'll do it at Disney.

Can you make an apointment? What kind of wait time?

I dont think you can make an appt - I think its just walk in - I had to wait about 25 minutes - but that was on New Years Eve.....I'd guess the earlier the better?

No they don't take appointments just walk-ins but check in and see what the wait is since it is a "hidden treasure" it usually isn't long. We had no wait when we went and it was the middle of the day about an hour before the parade. While we were there NO ONE came in.

I think this is absolutely THE BEST DEAL in Disney! My DD did it last year and got so many compliments. She felt extra special and was beaming all day long. Definitely worth the $7.00!

My son did this last week. It was so much fun. He had a blast w/ all of the compliments he received. We did have to wait about 30 minutes right at park opening, but it was well worth it. He beamed all day long. This is definitely something we'll do again if we ever return. He only got the color--no haircut. Oh, and it washed out remarkably well. The hardest part was the color that had gotten onto his skin. That took a second shampooing. The stuff on his hair washed right out.
