Hubby gets to go to wonderful places on business often, and since I'm a school teacher, I stay home (working)
with the kids. Well, when a conference came up in Paris right after school got out, I informed him that I WAS COMING!
He was busy all week while I explored Paris on my own, but as true Disneyholics, on our one day we had together, we hopped the RER from Paris to DLRP for the day. We were there at rope drop, stayed until the park closed, then walked around Disney Village. We decided to do just one park (Disneyland) and absolutely loved it all. As a WDW veteran, I noted the following comparisons:
-Best coffee on Main Street EVER
-Fantasyland was better in Paris, could have spent all day in Alice's Curious Labyrinth
-Loved IASM, Peter Pan and Snow White
-Loved SM2
-Restaurants and ice cream shoppe closed much too early! (2-3 hours before park closing, we didn't expect it)
-Crowds much lighter than a Friday in late June in Orlando
-Fewer character sightings than WDW
-Mickey spoke English!
I was pleased to see this board here, and admit to NO planning before the trip,as it came up suddenly. I enjoy reading the posts here to relive my special day at Disneyland Paris.
