Loved, Loved, LOVED Coronado Springs!

We just returned from 5 nights at CSR and had a great time. This resort is so pretty - the landscaping is beautiful - and the pool area and hot tub were great. The Pepper Market had a huge selection and a very nice atmosphere. We also had a very good dinner at the Maya Grill. Even the store in the lobby (forgot the name) was big and a fun place to shop. Our first morning there, last Thurs., there was a table in the registration area with women making and handing out free towel animals. My two boys had fun watching a big turtle and some fish from the bridge over the lake.

I had faxed our room request 5 days before we left (first floor, in the Cabana section) and we received room 8500 in Cabana 8B. It was perfect - on the first floor in the corner so it had 2 windows, and it was VERY close to Bus Stop #4 and a short walk to the Dig Site. The walk to El Centro wasn't far either.

Yes, we did see folks in business casual dress, but so what? It sort of made me feel good that I wasn't working like they were - and how bad could it be, attending a convention in Disney anyway??

We usually stay at the deluxes (Poly or Contemporary the last few trips) but I would definitely come back to CSR, after I've tried out a few more on my list. To all of you with upcoming trips there - have a great time!

We have been tempted to stay here as well. Looks like a very pretty resort. Was always worried about it 1st being too large and 2nd having too many conventioners staying. But really am starting to think twice after starting to hear such nice reviews.

I have a res at OKW (very pricey) but just found a much better deal at CS.

Was wondering what I should do as I didn't know anything about CS. Past 2 trips we stayed off the property.

Anymore advice about rooms, location, transportation etc. We were thinking about renting a car since it seems spread out. Also only a standard was available, what about views?

Is it peaceful, just my DH and me. Birthday/Anniversary trip.

would greatly appreciate more info.

CSR is a very nice resort. It is quiet and has some lovely views (like in my signature!). It is a little spread out, but I don't think it's overly huge. You don't have a balcony like you would at OKW, and the room is going to be a little smaller than an OKW Studio. If it's just you and your husband, though, keep in mind that most rooms have 2 double beds. At OKW, you'd have 2 queens (in a studio) or a king (in a 1-bedroom).

CSR has a good location, very easy to get to. They also have great bus service. We usually use Disney transportation and leave our car parked (we drive to WDW).

I just booked CSR for our anniversary trip, also! We have annual passes, so I used the code that came out today and booked a King room there for a little extra.

I've done this 3 or 4 times and have mostly gotten what I requested, but as they say, nothing is guaranteed. You should also be able to call Disney direct and they can note your preference(s) on your reservation, but we reserved through AAA and it was easier to just do it this way I thought.

Another CSR lover here! Our family had a grand gathering of 21 here last winter, and we loved the resort. The pool and water slide was great - the kids really enjoyed it (the grown up kids did too).
PANCHITOS - the gift shop you referred too - was a nice place to shop for last minute gifts. It confuses me whenever I see bad reviews of CSR (very infrequently at least), I cannot imagine having anything but a great time there.
We hope to return in 2009 for our next grand gathering.
