We decided to try the Disney Dining Plan on this short trip this past weekend. I was concerned with some of the negative posts regarding how people were treated when found that they were on the DDP. I will say though, that we were treated very well, with only one hiccup. We ate at Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, Sunshine Seasons, and Cosmic Rays. There was not a problem with any of the places we ate, and were treated very well. We stayed at the Beach Club Villa's and they were very helpful with any of our questions concerning this plan. They even called to Chef Mickey's to switch our reservation from two people to four because our kids decided to join us for the night and come eat with us. The only time we had a doubt was when we wanted to switch our dinner from the Concorse Steak House to 1900 Park Fare. We called WDW Disney, they sounded like there would be no problem until we were asked if we were no the DDP. When told we were they told us that it was booked. We were in the MK when we called so we went right to the Grand Floridian. We went to check in and explained our plight. The person at the desk brought up the registration screen and asked us what time we wanted, and listed of 8 times we could have, right around the time we wanted. My immediate paranoia was that because we were on the DDP, WDW wouldn't let us in. We werwe assured by our friends at the Beach Club that they were sure that wasn't the case. We certainly hope not, but over all, great experience, and anyone that is unsure whether to use it or not, it is certainly something we will do again.
