Lovebug Advice at the Fort

We are starting to plan our next trip, and now that the kids are in college we are thinking either early May or September. Now I'm discovering that Lovebugs descend on Florida during both these times.

We have experienced Fish Flies (May Flies) at Cedar Point a couple of times, and while they don't bite, etc., they are an incredible nuisance. Based on what I am reading the Lovebugs seem similar.

Does anyone have any experience with Lovebugs at the Fort?

We've been at WDW and lived in Fl for a while when love bugs were swarming. Since they don't bite it doesn't keep us away. If you have a low tolerance to aggravation another time might be best for you.
