Wow! The new boards look GREAT! And their look changed while I was posting this evening, too, so I got to see things change before my very eyes (I noticed the "new" look on the "wedding" board first).

The color schemes are great, but the Resorts page takes way too long to load on my PC. All the other pages zip open. I think the ad for the Swan/dolphin is causing the slow loading problem for me. It takes forever for it to come up and I am using a cable connection.

The only thing is .... every time I page back the clip for the Swan/Dolphin starts over.....I will never get to see the whole thing at this rate!

The colors are great but I really don't like the advertising on the side of the resort boards. I will get used to it. Its differrent. Hopefully it will grow on me.

I too thought something funky was going on with my computer last night, he he, glad to know it was the DIS! I like the new look and I like the "Calendar" with everyone's birthdays. It even lists their age!! of course, if you listed it on your profile Neat addition

Wdisneelvr, I have a cable connection but I'm not experiencing the same page-loading problems that you are. Are you still having problems? There must be a way to load these pages such that you can turn all the high-bandwidth graphics off (e.g., the video clip) -- maybe someone from the Tech Board has the answer.

Yes I'm still having problems loading the Resort page. It must have something to do with the video clips. It takes forever for it to load. All the other boards just zip right along. I don't know how to make it load faster.

Hi Folks:

This design is still in testing. I'm likely going to do away with the "automatic" RealVideo clip, and instead list links that will lauch a real video browser to show the clips. As far as the advertising sidebar, sorry, but it's a fact of like. The advertisers pay for to keep these boards running, and without the Swan and Dolphin right now, there would be no DIS boards. All of the boards will have an advert/link sidebar on them (all the main pages), but we're not putting them on the individual threads,or on the PM area or calendar area. Also, I'm wanting to put links back to the main DIS page to help cut down on the number of questions of "where do I find". So, I apologize to anyone who doesn't like them, but it is a fact of life, and we have no plans of designing them out.

I still can not see the resorts board all at once. The topics are all the way to the right and than I have to move over all of these blank lines to get to the next section and so on. I also posted this on the tech board. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? All of the other boards are fine.

Pete, I am having a great deal of trouble when entering the Resorts Board. For some reason the video clip takes forever to load on the page and three times I've had my PC freeze up on me and had to restart. It would be great if the video clip linked to another site, that would help me alot. The resort board is my favorite board and I have not been able to enjoy reading it these past few days. Thanks bunches!!!
