Love online check in

This can't be the norm but I really like the online check in where they text you your room number. Sitting here at BLT with my coffee on the balcony waiting for the rest of the family to wake up. Plan was to have bell services take luggage to Polynesian while we head to MK until our Polynesian room ready- but.... At 8:45am just got the text that our room is already ready! Wahoo!

We've used it twice with the new bypass the desk feature and love it.

We just used it on our last trip and all went well despite our room wasn't ready until 4, but we expected that.

I don't mean to hijack, but I remember people saying they would bypass the front desk when they get an email to do online check in and then they follow that. Is that still the case or if I just log into dvcmember and check in online will I be able to bypass the front desk?

You can do that as long as you don't have an international # to have text sent to and you set up a credit card online for incidental charges
On a side note I never got the text even though I selected text and email-I happened to check my email for a minute on check in day and discovered our room had been ready for 45 min
So if you have a smart phone may want to keep an eye on that as well

Thank you, I was waiting for an email but I guess I don't need to worry about that.

Just transferred to SSR today from BLT online checkin worked great this time-got text and email at 8:30 am that room was ready
