Nope, still haven't seen a single love bug!!

No love bugs at the Fort as of 9/13!!! (Keeping my fingers crossed that they don't show up this year! They are nasty!)

During the love bug season, my local "do it yourself" car wash gets $4.00 from me each and every day!!! (Hey! Maybe love bugs were created by the car wash industry???? )

They just started swarming in the Pensacola area. Dang nab annoying things.

Just got and didnt see any in Orlando but they were in N. Florida and Alabama along I-10. Window was messy and the front of my van is black seemed to be worse just North of Fort Walton. Not as bad as I thought it would be but they are hard to get off.

I think they are on thier way.

Another love bug update............

My brother just got back yesterday (September 16th) from a 4 day trip to Disney. I asked him if he encountered any love bugs, and he said not at all. He did say that there were more bugs of other types than normal, but didn't see any love bugs. He still had to wash off the front of his car, but thankfully not from love bugs and it was much easier. Definitely not covered in a black goo

ok I'm in the Mobile area now and Arghhhhhhhhhhh they are having bug parades all over my truck!!!! They should be your way shortly!!!!!

IMHO you just have to put up with these buggers and I carry a small bucket, sponge and towel and each day if I do the love bug kill thing just wash down the front of the Van and move on. You definitely don't want to leave all that goo on your vehicle for more than a couple of days and don't forget the top of the windshield area where it meets the roof. We have a diesel van and also just use the FJ scrubbers to get off the majority on the grill, headlights, and bumper when fueling if it's an issue.

I live in Orlando and I have seen about 1-4 for the past few days. I think they are coming in slowly. I have a feeling they will be no where near as bad as last year!

I've just noticed them coming in the past couple of days. They're nowhere near how bad they were last Spring though! (yet!)

Just you wait. Last week I saw maybe 3 or 4 over as many days then I saw that many the other morning and that afternoon they were swarming all over the parking lot at work.

This is up in Pensacola, BTW.

I hope they are not going to be as bad as they were at the end of May on the east coast. My daughter had a complete meltdown! We arrive a week from this Sunday.

While waiting to pick up DS at school today I noticed quite a few of those nasty critters. I had seen one or two the last couple days, but today it was more of a swarm. It figures we will be at the Fort next weekend and they will probably be out in full force!

Today, I am sad to report, they are back
I live in Orlando and they have arrived. They are no where near as bad as last year, but they are here.

Oh yes.....they are back. They hit us heavy on the Turn Pike. It felt like I was watching an old WWII movie--- IN-COMING!!!! TAKE EVASIVE ACTION!!
Fortunally, we hit a heavy rain most of the way home and it washed them all away

How is the Love Bug situation now in WDW - Parks, Water Parks, and the Fort? Any update would be appreciated, so I can prepare my dd.
