Love Bugs?

We were at the Fort this weekend, and we saw a couple of them. Not a big deal at all.

When we arrived with our white truck, DH got out and sprayed Windex on the front and wiped the few off that were on there.

Nowhere near as bad as they were last Spring!

what site were you in?

If you looked hard, you could have seen the gatordad cart

I am at Animal Kingdom Lodge this week and today they are swarming everywhere. There are at least 100 dead on our balcony, the pool area is covered with them. When I put my mug down, there were 10 of them on it. They don't harm, but they are quite annoying, you can't relax by the pool.

This is a mild encounter! My neighbor drove his MH from Disney yesterday, and it was PLASTERED with love bugs! :scared1: And we're only 30 miles west of the Fort! YIKES!!

love bugs have no carbs, they're better foryou.

Never.... ride your Harley during love bug season!!!

Too dang hard to pick outta yer teeth!!

Just left Fort Wilderness this morning. Sorry to say they are everywhere. Arrived on the 22nd and progressively got worse as the days went by.

Well I guess the time has come for the love bugs. Still haven't seen very many south of Orlando, but if they have them then we should be getting them soon.

Time to start bringing the towels and wipes!

We just left The Fort yesterday (boooooo hooooo). We saw the bugs, but they weren't as bad as I thought they would be. I got worried when we stopped at Walmart on the way in as they were EVERYWHERE! When we got to our site (101...great site by the way!) they weren't at all bad.

I did notice that the mosquitoes were becoming a problem this past Sunday night while packing up. I guess all the rain last week helped them repopulate the Fort. I go all summer and see 2 drops of rain...I go to the Fort and it's monsoon season! It wasn't really that bad. We had a blast! I left trying to figure out when we could come back!

I'm sure the mosquitoes picked up a bit with all the recent rain, but they'll be gone soon, we're on the very tail end of mosquito season at this point.

Glad to hear the lovebugs aren't too bad at the Fort!
