Lounge lunch?

We are going to Disney Studios on Thursday, August 23. How easy/likely would it be that we could get a seat in the lounge at 50s Prime Time or Brown Derby lounge for lunch? We don't really want to make an ADR for a full meal at lunch time and find the QS options at DS to be... lame, at best... so I was thinking a Lounge Lunch might be an option.

Both can get quite crowded but it is certainly doable. I'd suggest going close to open time to make sure you get a seat. They don't have a big menu food wise (I think only 3 items) but Baseline Taphouse would also be an open.

I think at the end of August you should be fine getting in a lunch at one of the lounges, especially since you seem to be open to either one.

I think you will find it much easier at HBD than 50s in August. We eat or drink at HBD lounge pretty much any time at HS, and find that in the hotter months it is much easier to get a seat there as people really want to spend their lunch break in air conditioning than outside.
