We are in 8532, one of the Cat. 3 with one the triple length verandahs. Is there a lounge chair on the verandah as well as regular chairs? Just thinking how nice it would be to relax out there on the sea days. Thanks!

Bumping this as I am in 8032 and also wondering the same thing.

Anne

No, they just have the regular chairs and tables...but lots of them. :) I think there are six chairs and three tables.

I'm wondering if you asked the Concierge if they would round one up for you?? We sure won't need 6 regular chairs with 3 of us..wow!:smooth:

By the way, we stayed in 8530 last cruise and knocked on the door of 8532 to see what it looked like. I can assure you that this
suite is one of the best on board and I GUARANTEE that you will love it.

I'm kind of wondering--when staying in the suites, do you get a lot of people "knocking on your door to see what it looks like?" It seems that I've seen this type of post quite a bit. Now I'd LOVE to have DIS'ers knock on my door and introduce themselves, but I think I'd be more than a little put out if I had a lot of strangers knocking so they could look at my suite.

No offense meant to Howard, but I guess I could never bring myself to just knock on someones door and ask for a tour of their room.

Who has had this happen to them, and how did you handle it? Did anyone ever knock at an inopportune time?

Anne

HowardK,
Isn't 8530 the Roy Disney suite?
Now that's what i'd really like to be booked in (or walt's).
Unfortunately, they're already booked.
We'll be in 8534 i think, also cat.3.
It was the last one left in the midship area.
I hope it's nice.
And anyone who wants to knock on the door and take a peek is more than welcome (although please excuse me if my head is deep in the toilet the entire time.....i have a feeling that's where i'll probably be).

Any DISers out ther on the Dec. 14 cruise are welcome to stop by. Sounds like there is plenty of room out there on those verandah's for a party! We can all bop around to the "Beauty and the Beat" music on the CD player!

ducklite-
We have been on 2 cruises with Disney and both times we were in the royal suite. People came by and knocked on our door 3 or 4 times per cruise (they never came either very early or late so it was not really a bother to show them around). By the way we knocked on the door of 8532 (the adjoining 1 bedroom suite to our room) after we met the people in that suite over the rail on our adjoining verandahs. They were very nice and seemed glad to show us around.

disneyholic family-
Yes, 8530 is the Roy Disney suite and it is amazing. It is also hard to get. We are booked in the Walt suite (8030) on the Magic this Nov. (11/2/2002) and had to book it last year (over 18 months in advance). 8534 is one of the best suites on board and you will definately love it.

To all Disboard members-
Please stop by if you are on the 11/2/2002 7 day Disney Magic cruise. We'd love to meet you.

HowardK

if we enjoy our (first ever) cruise then i'm sure we'll do what you do and book one of them, whatever it takes...
my daughter was drooling over the grand piano (i think in the walt disney suite)..
although then she might never make it out to common grounds...

thanks for the good word on 8534....we're looking forwards to it...
i'm just worried it may be too small for my excessively tall family....
i was thinking about reserving one of the cat 4's for the kids....
i don't really know what to do....i suppose they can sufffer for 3 days.....not that big a deal.....there'll be plenty of room for them to stretch out their limbs at the place we're staying on land....

truth is, we're all psyched up about this cruise...even hubby who tends to humor us with all this disney silliness of ours....

thanks again for the info and enjoy your cruise...

Last summer my brother's family had 8532, my mom & sister's family had 8534 and we had 8546. You will love this cabin. The pull-down bed is in the sitting room, and it really has a lot of space for your family to spread out. It's a great cabin. I spent a lot of time in 8532; even though 8546 is a cat 3 cabin it was much smaller than the 32 and 34 rooms. Have fun!

Hi Howardk, We are going to be on the Nov 2nd cruise. We are in room 6043 but i am thinking about upgrading to cat 6. There is my husband, me and 2 girls 7 & 9. Maybe we will cross paths sometime that week!

lUVTOGO-
We are going with our family (married children and their families
with children ages 2,3,5 & 8) as well as the members of our Disney club (NFFC - Jersey Shore Chapter) and their families. There will be plenty of kids in our group so by all means stop by and say hello. Maybe the kids can enjoy the pools together. By the way, if you are thinking about upgrading, E-mail me as you may be able to get a deal on the room thru our group rate. Where in New Jersey do you live ? We are all in Central Jersey.

Howard-

Thanks for the info.

Anne
