I'm from Denham Springs, LA - born and raised. =D

I'll be staying at POP during the week of Mardi Gras along with my 7 year old niece and a friend. Can't wait!!

Wow, I can't believe I'm the first Baton Rougian to post! Greetings from the capital city. We just went on our dream trip this past September and stayed 8 nights at BCV. It was amazing! My DD3 and I will be taking a mommy/daughter trip in may staying at PORS. We'll be meeting up with two of my sisters and their families. We're also planning a grand gathering trip for Thanksgiving with DH's family. I am a true Disney addict. You either get it or you don't!:rotfl: DH and I have been many times and finally joined DVC November of 2007. We love it and haven't looked back since we joined!

Hi ya'll

We're from Monroe. Looking on these boards to connect with others from nearby. I'm a single mother with two girls ages 17 and almost 5. I'm looking to connect with other moms with girls the same age as my younger. We average only 1 trip every other year or so due to costs. But am always looking for ways to cut costs so we can go more often!

Hi everyone...we are living in Destrehan, about 20 minutes outside NOLA...We are planning our 1st family trip in Nov.

I went once before when I was like 8 i barely remember it...DH has been 2-3 times when he was younger...We are soooo excited to take our Eli..

CANT WAIT!!

Nice to meet you all...:)

I grew up in Denham Springs myself! Graduated from DSHS but long before you did! LOL! (probably right around the time you were born! LOL!)

Monroe gal here! We have been the last 2 years and will go twice in '09. Our January trip is a "do-over" for me and birthday trip for my grand daughter who will be turning 5 on Feb. 3. Our last trip was in June but was cut short for me when I fell down the steps in Mexico at Epcot, shattering my leg and dislocating my ankle. I spent the next 3 days in an Orlando hospital having surgery to put in 2 rods and 6 screws. I had another surgery just before Thanksgiving to remove some of the screws and a mass on my ankle. Everything seems to be doing well now other than some soreness and swelling when I try to do too much. I think a relaxed trip in uncrowded parks might be just the thing for me!:woohoo:

pixiedust: I am sending pixie dust your way as you certainly deserve it after your June visit and recent surgery. :dance3:

Greenwood is our hometown! We were able to go in 2006 and cant wait to go back!!!!! Our personal Economy needs to get better though!!!:thumbsup2

We Live in Bush as well. We have been going every year since 2006 with my sister-in-law, brother-in-law and nephew as well as some really good friends of ours. Last year we found out that we were expecting a week after we returned and we are taking him in January for his first trip! We figured he might want to see Disney from the outside of my belly this time! Can't Wait!!!

Thanks Lady SnowElla! I appreciate it. I'm trying to work up the nerve to get a Tinkerbell tattoo on my ankle right above the biggest scar. I figure a little permanent pixie dust can't hurt! I don't know though. Is that too trashy for a middle aged school teacher?

We are at Fort Polk La. My husband is in the Army and we have been here for five years now. We try to go every year. But the deployment stopped our 08 trip. But we are going back in March!!!

:wave2: I grew up in harvey we lived just down the street from ray brandt nissan. I have other family members who lived in marrero and terrrytown. My aunt lives in bush now we will actually be there for new year's. If you remember the gretna quintuplets that is my aunt she has been living in bush for as long as we have been living in picayune/carriere.

We don't go every year we go two or three times every other year. This year we were there for mardi gras and we just got back we were there from 12/17-24. I love disney, my girls love disney, all of my extended family loves disney including my inlaws, my dh is sick of disney.

How about Mrs Neufeld? When I was there she was my English teacher although I heard she moved to librarian.

I don't recall that one...hrm. Let me flip through my yearbook.

Nope - not there. What about Mr. Burroughs, Mr. or Mrs. Dodson, Mr. Gurley, Mrs. Kemp, Mr. Matlock, Mrs. Courtney or Mrs. Tyson.

Lots of names I know, but I can't remember how long they've been at DSHS. =S

All those names sound familiar. I had Coach Dodson for American History. BORING with a capital B. Mr Burroughs was my band teacher!! I am friends with his daughter and she teaches at DSHS now! SHe is pretty new there though.

I had him for Economics and I HATED IT! It's like listening to Ben Stein lecture. He's got such a monotone voice.

Also, Mr. Burroughs was my Fine Arts teacher, AND he's my neighbor!! Such a small world. :)

Another North Louisianian here!!! I live in Many, it is about 80 miles south of Shreveport. We go every other year and this just happens to be our (MY) year! I can't wait!!! I am glad to find local(state of Louisiana)dissers here! I will go ahead and admit that I am an obsessive disney fan! All of my family members love disney as well, but say that I take it a little to far!!! But that is OK! At least I am addidictive to a good habit!!

Another Cajun here!!! Me and DH are from Lafayette, but currently live in Shreveport. We've gone to WDW for the past two years, and I am trying to talk him into going again. We'll see...wish me luck!!!:thumbsup2
