Can a flask be bought into the parks like MK?
Would it go through the Security search?

I'm sure plenty of people bring alcohol into MK every day -- I've seen it in soda bottles, slurpee cups ... one woman had a baby bottle filled with vodka that she was passing around, squirting booze into sodas while waiting for the parade.

If Security smells alcohol, on you or in your belongings, they'll look deeper to find it and will likely take it away from you, as well as evaluating whether or not you're sober enough to be in the parks. (This is more of a thing at MK than the other parks, BTW, since the other parks all have alcohol available to guests.) If they find a flask, they will watch you empty it (not drink it, mind you, but empty it down a drain) or they will confiscate it.

So, to answer your question, I wouldn't try to take a flask into the parks. However, if you must have alcohol with you, put it in something non-descript and be ready to dump it if you're asked to.

Thanks guys, it's not really for me, I'm strictly a beer person, but I'm bringing a friend in April who only drinks brandy and coke and usually only beer is available at the counter service. It's probably not even going to be an issue but I was just wondering.

Excuse my ignorance, this is probably so obvious too - but I've been racking my brain and I can't figure out what "LOTW" means! Please help me out, everytime I see this thread it drives me crazy.

I'm so glad you asked. I've never been able to figure out what that meant, when seeing it on posts. I guess you need to be able to relate to get it.

I was at MK last Jan and there was a guy in the bathroom in Toontown and he was sitting in the stall. I didn't pay much attention to him but he was listening to a game on a radio. I guess his team scored and he let out a little whoop. I looked toward the stall and he had 2 beers sitting next to his feet. So yes alcohol can be brought into the parks through security.
