I have heard so much about these boards! I hope they are really as helpful as everyone says! Here are my questions:

1) We arrive in Orlando at 3:40pm, if I have read here correctly, I should get to All-Star Music Resort around 5? Do I plan on spending the evening there with a 5yr old and 2 yr old and my hubby or should we venture out - maybe to Rainforest Cafe in Animal K, since park admission isn't required there?

2) If I have an 8:10 Breakfast reservation at MK, what time do I need to leave AllStar Music?

3) Is the SciFi Drive in at Hollywood scary? Are the movies frightning to some easily-scared children? If so, where is a fun place for a quick dinner there?

4) Do I buy Mouse Ears before we go and give them to the kiddos once we get there or can I get them at the resort or what? We are celebrating both of thier birthdays and want to make it really special.
I think that is it for now. We leave in 29 days! :scared1:

:welcome:

For your first question I would say with kids that young not to plan on anything else for that evening. It could take you an hour or so to get checked in and settled into your room. There is lots to see at the All Star Resorts so you can stick close and check out the resort, eat at the food court, play on the playground, check out the gift shop, and maybe take a swim.

The All Star Movies is right next to the Music and has some great play areas with characters your kids will recognize. There is probably some fun stuff around Music also, I just have never been there. Just head across the parking lot and check that out also. Make sure you have your camera- lots of great photo ops around the All Stars.

You can preorder the mouse ears, but it is really cheaper and more practical to get them there. Make that part of your first night--going to buy their ears. And there are different types to choose from so they may want to try on the different styles and pick their favorite. OH and make sure you let the desk know when you check in that it is the kids birthdays. They should have a birthday button for them. If the resort doesn't have it stop by Guest Services at your first park and get them for them. Have them wear them all week.

Get a good night's sleep because you have a tiring day ahead of you!

I think they recommend that you allow at least an hour to get from your resort to the parks for an ADR. Part of this depends on if the park as EMH for that morning--if they do then the lines for the busses will be longer and you will need to allow more time. Ask when you check in and they should be able to give you a better idea.

I can't remember the movies from the Sci Fi. I guess I would say that if your kids are easily scared then you may want to try something else. Hollywood and Vine has a good buffet and there are also quick service places with lots of good choices.

Have Fun!
