I would like to ask the DIS community to please offer up prayers for our fellow DISer BigTigerFan (Lisa).
I was blessed to first "meet" Lisa last summer when I posted on the board for prayers for myself having just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Lisa was one of the many of you who responded to my request. I was so overwhelmed by the response from this community.
Lisa and I have kept in touch this past year and were lucky enough to have our families meet and spend an e-night together having a blast last month in WDW. She has a wonderful family and the cutest, sweetest little girl Emily (6).
I received an email from Lisa this past weekend telling me the terrible news that her cancer has spread. She will be starting chemotherapy again shortly and is already having to use a ECV when walking far distances. My heart aches for her and her family.
She is being very brave about this new diagnosis. She has shown immeasurable courage throughout her ordeal - she amazes me every day.
I am asking that everyone who prays to please add Lisa and her family onto your prayer list. Maybe all our voices together will make it to the man upstairs! Those who don't pray, perhaps you could offer some PD or a kind word of encouragement. I know the responses I received really made a difference in my attitude. It's so incredible to know that so many people are pulling for you.
Thank you all in advance - I know you'll come through for Lisa. Let's try to give her something to smile about.
