I have uploaded over 40 layouts to my website today.

I scrap 100% digitaly now. All the Christmas layouts and most of the others are 4x6 or 6x4 as this is a new size I am working on. I find it is a faster scrap, I am able to concentrate on one or two images per sheet, I love my pioneer 4 x 6 album and also I received a HP 375 portable printer for Christmas and the quality is FANTASTIC. I am sure I will still scrap in 8 x 10 and print on my HP desktop but I am really liking the smaller size.

I am also currently working on creating disney layouts so that when I get back from my trip in October I can plop them in and be done.. I hope to have at least 100 sets and layouts ready by then. Its lots of fun and it helps make my trip come a bit sooner :)

If you have time and want to check out the links here is the address.

Very kewl! Do you mind some questions?
What program do you use?
Is it hard or easy to use the program?
How long does one layout take? Epsecially compared to the paper version?
Also some of those layouts are paper? I love the sea gull one!
LOL! I am a nosey one!

I don't think I want to do total digital layouts but I would like to intergrate them into some of my books. I am rather a computer dummy with much of this!
Very nice job!

I use Paint Shop Pro but any digital software will work (Photoshop, DIP, etc.) Each program has its plus and minuses, there are tons of tutorials on the web for all the programs. I've been using PSP for years so to me its easy.

It takes me anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour per layout depending on what I want to do, if I am creating elements from scratch.etc.

None of the layouts on my website are done in paper, they are all computer created including the seagulls :D I have done paper scrapping in the past though and used my computer to create alot of backgrounds, toppers, embellishments, etc.

There is nothing wrong with paper, I just prefer digital as my method as to me its more creative, I can start over when I mess up, costs practically nothing and I can print out multiple copies of my layouts. DS is becoming a huge thing now that digital cameras are all the rage.. There are many websites on it but the VERY best are http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com and http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/ You should check out the galleries on these sites, the work these scrappers do is simply amazing.

Just gorgeous!!! Wow, I can't believe those layouts are digital. I don't have a clue as to how to even begin to go about digitally scrapbooking. I think I'm extremely talented, LOL, but I don't think I'd ever be able to create layouts like that digitally. Actually, I was jumping for joy yesterday because I finally learned how to stitch my 12x12's after scanning both sides in my Paintshop Pro program. I am going to have to check out the digital scrapbook links you posted, and also save your site in my favorites for inspiration. Thanks!

Wow those are very neat!! Forgive my stupidity for a moment but can you clarify something for me?

Ok so what you do is you make these layouts on your computer using software. Then you must scan or upload your picture to the computer and position it where you want to on the layout. Then you print that whole page out and put it in your scrapbook?

Do I have this right? If not could you explain it to me?

Thanks

Very cool again!

Thanks so much for your comments.. It is alot of fun and YOU CAN DO IT.. visit the sites I posted. I believe SBB is the site that even offers online classes at a very low cost.

You have the basics.. You either create a kit or elements yourself or you can use one from one of the free groups (Yahoo has several) where other Digital scrappers share their creations for free or you can go to one of the many Digital stores and buy kits (I probably have over 100 kits now, almost all for free) then using your digital software you just place your photos as you want, save and print. Either mount to larger paper or as I do, just stick them in page protectors and move on to the next one.

If you want to learn more you can go over to my site and click on Digital Scrapbooking Links, there are several sites listed which gets you started.
