Lots of changes to our reservation how will this effect fast pass+

considering changing to akl which would mean one of our kids would Have to stay in my moms room since we are a family of 5. She is on a completely different package so one of my kids would now be on her package which is fine but we already booked all our fast passes and I would hate to lose them. Should we add him to her reservation first and then change ours or we will lose them either way? Can we book for him if he is on her reservation? We are all linked and have all our dining together as well.

I've never heard of fastpasses being lost when a reservation is changed. I know some situations it's canceling out your package and booking you a new one but again I've never heard of anyone loosing the fast passes when doing that.

My last trip, I did change my resort but I did it myself online using the website and it went smooth and I did it myself. I'm not sure this change can happen the same way..
