LOTR fans - I need your help please

My DH received the LOTR: The Two Towers DVD Special Extended Edition.

My question is this: What's the name of the one that came before this one? Just LOTR?

He hasn't watched it yet and I'm trying to complete the set and I'm not sure if this is the first in the series, 2nd in the series, etc...know what I mean? Would love to know the chronological order - online really isn't answering this question for me.

I believe that Lord of the Rings--The Fellowship of the Ring is the first one.

The Two Towersis next and Return of the King is the one that is out in theaters now.

Legolas kinda got ripped off in the ROTK. He only had about 10 lines! He still looked very nice though and we know he can count and likes to be friends.
