LOST....*WARNING* Future Spoilers

Who shoots Locke, Who shot JR? That may be the jaw dropping conclusion to the season. That may have been the last scene of the finale and we won't find out until next fall.

Better not be the last scene of the finale!! Then I will be really upset...much more upset than I was last night for the obvious death of Boone!

I'm really liking the Shannon shooting Locke theory! That makes a lot of sense. I saw the same thing in the preview-Sayid with gun and then Locke getting shot, but not WHO shot him! What a set up!!

I can tell ya who shoots Locke

highlight

Claire's Baby.....LOL - GOTCHA!!

Didn't someone mention that they did compare it to the Who Shot JR?

They did discover a few weeks ago that a gun was missing. I don't remember if they ever figured out who took it. I could see Shannon or Jack shooting Locke...or Walt! Maybe that will be what divides them...Locke or Walt. They both have weird powers with the island. Which one is good/which one is evil?

So, are we all thinking the cliffhanger will be who shot Locke and whether he is dead?

Are we supposed to be thinking of the Island as a sentient being (like the One ring in the Lord of the Rings) or are we fans simply sensing Locke's point of view? Also, do you think Jack understood what Boone was saying about the hatch?

And, do we think the Island likes Locke? I mean it required him to make a tough choice: either go back to the wheelchair or sacrifice Boone (who trusted him).

That's where I'm going with the possibility of Locke & Walt dividing the people on the island. Which one is evil or which one is good? Which one does the Island like and which one doesn't it like? There is some kind of significance to Walt and the Island and his powers that they haven't touched yet. They've focused on Locke's, but not Walt's.

OOOOHHHHHH.... I didn't think of it like that...... hummmm :scratchin :scratchin
THe possibilities are endless....
Can't wait.

I don't think the cliffhanger will be who shot Locke. I'm not sure he was even shot. I'm going to paste something I posted on the other Lost thread then expand on this more.

*Snip* from that article:

From the very beginning, Lost cocreators J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof have said the threat of death hangs over the crash survivors. As the writers mapped out the season's final episodes, they followed through on that threat, deciding to kill a character whose story line had run its course. Another reason: Boone's death would especially affect his father figure, Locke (Terry O'Quinn), and the island's doctor and resident hero, Jack (Fox). ''It was a narrative imperative that we kill Boone,'' says executive producer Carlton Cuse. ''It sets in motion a chain of events leading to the season finale.'' Adds Lindelof: ''The show is about the conflict between Jack and Locke. Boone's death will be a divisive point between them.''

OK, I think this is very interesting and very telling. I'll admit, I have never felt the show was about the conflict between Jack and Locke. I haven't really thought too much about the very little conflict between them so far.

And "setting in motion a chain of events leading to the season finale" - ok so Boone's death wasn't overly dramatic but will lead to something very dramatic and "mind boggling".

The rest of what I'd like to say involves a spoiler so I'm moving this conversation over to the other thread.
_________________________________________________________

So...a spoiler said Sayid sets out to kill Locke. Then the spoiler was corrected to say it's Jack who sets out to kill Locke. No big surprise after last night. I would say Jack is the one to shoot Locke if it happens based solely on this spoiler and what we saw last night.
BUT
if Locke dies, where is the division between the survivors that's been talked about? I don't see anyone but Locke and Jack leading 2 different camps.

I do think the island is a "being". It may not have powers but something there obviously makes it powerful (if that makes any sense).

Locke said he's seen the secret of the island and it is beautiful. I think the island likes him or needs him. Maybe it needs him to do evil things, I don't know. But I think he and the island need something from each other.

From TV Guide: Damon Lindelof's (co creator of Lost) early word on the finale is that, despite rampant rumors to the contrary, it won't reveal what caused the crash of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815. But viewers might not even notice, what with a promised jaw dropping cliff-hanger. "It's gonna rock peoples' worlds," Lindelof says excitedly. "[It will be] the 'Who shot J.R.?' of Lost. We want people talking all summer long."

Would they really think it's jaw dropping to wonder who shot Locke? I just don't see that.

All depends on the lead ups to it...if it looked like it could be one of three people (sayid/jack/shannon) that would get people talking all summer.

Did you guys get the Sawyer song???? It take a couple of minutes to download the first time-but TOTALLY worth it!

I don't know. I also didn't think that the "big death" would be so obvious before it happened. Who knows!

I'm assuming you mean "here a Sawyer, there a Sawyer, everywhere a Sawyer, Sawyer...Sawyer, Sawyer, Locke."

I love the part of the the song about Charlie "now listen little child to the man on crack (or something like that)" :rotfl:

I love that song!!

Sayid seems more like a father-figure type to Shannon. I don't see any chemistry at all.

but that is what I think *is* right about them. She needs someone to take care of her, she cannot stand on her own. Sayid would be the most likely father figure there, he has that intensity to need to protect whomever he is with.

Did any of you see Boone on Regis and Kelly this morning?

He said that in the season finale we would get a glimpse of the island's 'monster'.
