Everyone's speculating that maybe Boone won't die after all, that it will be someone else. I posted this on the other thread...do you think Walt might find the heroine and it will kill him?
Everything I'm posting is from Kristen's chats. These are old spoilers:
From brady: Are you saying you were wrong on the timing?
I'm saying I've made a conscious effort (at a source's request...no, insistence) not to talk about when the death happens. I really want you all to be surprised,
and based on what I've said describing how it happens, you might be able to figure it out. So, please, I am so very, very sorry, but my hands are tied on this one. I do know when it happens. I cannot say when. And you can direct your fan mail to
tvdiva@eonline.com.
From sunnybiss77: On Lost, the spoilers currently point to Sawyer being the dead guy. Any insight?
Interesting. Wanna know what else? Someone's poisoning someone.
From quixoticleila: I can't believe people are giving you so much crap about not spilling the death on Lost! I mean that is a huge deal, and they just can't seem to grasp your position in the situation!
Quixoticleila, me love you long time. For the others who might not know "my position in the situation" it's this: I get reliable scoop on Lost because I am friends with people who work on the show. They tell me things. They also, in cases of huge stuff like this death, specifically forbid me from revealing whom it is. If I spill, that link is cut off, and we are left miserable and scoopless, so, frankly, it's not worth it. On top of that, I truly think it's better if you don't know on massive shockers like this! So, I really am sorry if it annoys you, but I hope you guys can understand.
From karenlee: One little hint on the Lost death?
Damn! You guys don't give up, do ya?! He's kinda sexy.
From pgmoney: Blind Riddle! Is Locke really responsible for the male character's death?
Not directly, but this person dies because of something Locke has done.
From sammylove: Can we have some more Lost spoilers? Pretty please?
Okay, there is some creeeeepy stuff coming up with Walt. He knows far more than he should.
From boyee: I read your column about someone dying on Lost, and I nearly had a heart attack. Pleeease, I beg of you: Tell me it's not Dominic Monaghan.
It's not. But I can tell you that this person is well-loved, well-featured and, well, doomed. It is one of the 14 series regulars--one of the biggest characters--and the episode is guaranteed to make you bawl your ever-lovin' eyes out.
From freakyme: I know you can't tell us exactly who dies--frankly, I don't want to know--but can you tell us how?
Do not read if you don't want to know: Basically, something catastrophic happens, and because someone lies about what happened, the victim ultimately can't be saved.
From waterdancer1: What's the dealio with Lost? Are Shannon and Sayid going to go a bit further?
On our local ABC 7 here, they did a whole "Secrets of Lost" shebang, and Naveen Andrews said this when asked about that: "Oh, it's definitely going to happen. I can guarantee you that. I mean, one of the things about this show is that we do push the envelope." Other highlights from castmembers: Ian Somerhalder said, "Something's coming up for my character, and it's definitely going to change the experience of the island, gonna change what we know of the island, and what we think of it, and that's huge." Matthew Fox said, "Jorge's episode will have a sequence of numbers in it that will be very, very significant." Jorge Garcia said, "Look at TV within TV. Wink, nod, that's all you get." Harold Perrineau Jr. said, "I think you should pay really close attention to what Walt does, and the things that happen around Walt."
From brandy: Lost is finally back this week. Sweet Jesus, didn't think I'd make it. What's coming up?
Locke is going AWOL, and that won't sit well with Jack and some of the others. They're going after him. Also, despite what JJ said at the Paley Fest panel session--that Claire would have the baby in the third season and it would be an adult--Claire is having that baby this season, in fact, very soon.
From aliciajo: It's okay, Kristin. We already knew it wasn't Jack, so you didn't give anything away.
Sheesh. Tough room. Okay, I will eliminate one more. So, if you don't want to know...don't read any further.
From fooboo: Tell me it's not Hurley.
Okay.
From tvjunkie1577: Ahhh, I knew about Hurley already, too! You could find that out in the Canadian TV Guide.
Well then, you're all just too informed already! Seriously, you do not want to know more. Please, trust me on this one.

Based on spoilers (assuming they're correct) the following people have been ruled out:
Jack
Charlie
Locke
Hurley
That leaves Sawyer, Jin, Michael, Boone, Walt, Sayid.
One of the spoilers says the guy who dies is kinda sexy so I would eliminate Walt. I think the spoiler saying something creepy is coming up with Walt would eliminate him.
Another spoiler says well featured, well loved...I would eliminate Jin here. I really like him, he may be well loved but I don't think he's well featured. I'm on the fence with Michael on this spoiler. He seems to have been featured more than Jin so I'm not eliminating him yet. Boone has been well featured lately and there are lots of people who love him.
We're left with Michael, Boone, Sawyer and Sayid.
Boone said something big is coming up for his character that will change the whole experience of the island. I am going to go out on a limb here and say this:
Boone was seriously injured because of something Locke did. Locke is going to go AWOL causing the other survivors to go after him. Boone is too injured to go. Sawyer and Sayid will almost certainly go. Michael's iffy but might go. Something catastrophic happens when they are out looking for Locke and one of the men looking for Locke is killed=Sayid, Sawyer or Michael.
Why would we bawl our ever loving eyes out over Sayid? Most people really like him, he's certainly well featured, he's starting to get involved with Shannon, he's very important to their survival because of his skills. BUT he has another flashback episode coming up. If Josh Holloway was right saying look whose stories aren't developing, Sayid doesn't fit the bill.
Why would we bawl our eyes out over Sawyer? He's totally hot and has recently endeared himself more to the people on the island and to the viewers. He has been well featured but think about it. Has his storyline really been developing? Wouldn't it be tragic if he died with his secret about Jack's dad? BUT he's the hottest guy and adds an edge that the show really needs. There is still a lot we don't know about him and the producers would be absolutely stupid to kill him off. It would really tick off a lot of the female fans.
Why would we bawl over Michael? Well, he'd be leaving a child behind. He's been working very hard to get them off the island but his child has sabotaged some of that effort. He is a major character, though. BUT his storyline hasn't really developed much, but couldn't we learn a lot about him through Walt? Do we really need to know much about him? Walt is the major player here.
I'm still going with Boone or Michael. Either they're going to make us think Boone is dying and then kill someone else, or they've got something really tricky up their sleeves. Kristen keeps saying we'll understand when we see it, so I don't think it's completely far-fetched to believe that it could still be Boone.
