A lot of people are thinking the same thing! ;)
AL is claiming that she knew she would be killed off when she was hired--nothing to do with DUI.

That's right. I saw her on Regis and Kelly and she said she knew when she was hired...so she rented a house, didn't buy one.

According to a interview on TVGuide.com the producers of the show Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof both said that AL was planned last February and she was to be a one season character, she was to be killed at the end of the season. Michelle Rodriguez came on the show because of this and only wanted to do a season, no more. They knew that when the DUI came up that the fans would think that was the reason she was being killed off and thought about changing it but didn't.

And also according to TVGuide.com Cynthia Watros, who plays Libby is up for a guest star roll on a new comedy, not a series regular, so there may be hope for her character yet. :thumbsup2

We've been trying the website and it must be frozen right now. Bummer, so we'll try again later. Very intriguing, though. :surfweb:

Well this is good news. I would hate it if they killed off Libby. There is so much about her I want to know. Poor Hurley would think it was his fault (You know with being bad luck and everything) :guilty:

Did someone say this already? Could it be that that isn't Michael, but his "Bad Twin"?

I've been thinking about this today, what if the Dharma Initiative is a experiment from the Hanso thing that has gone terribly wrong, and the main company is trying to hide what has happened from the rest of the world. And I've also been thinking about the word Dharma, I know that it means "works or duties" but I thought that this definition from Wikipedia might be significant,

"Dharma (Sanskrit: धर्म) or Dhamma (Pāli) means Natural Law or Reality, and with respect to its significance for spirituality and religion might be considered the Way of the Higher Truths. Dharma forms the basis for philosophies, beliefs and practices originating in India. The oldest of these, widely known as Hinduism, is Sanatana Dharma or Eternal Dharma. Ayyavazhi, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism also retain the centrality of Dharma. In these traditions, beings that live in harmony with Dharma proceed more quickly towards Moksha, Dharma Yukam, Nirvana, or personal liberation. Dharma also refers to the teachings and doctrines of the various founders of the traditions, such as Gautama Buddha in Buddhism and Mahavira in Jainism. As the religious and moral doctrine of the rights and duties of each individual, Dharma can refer generally to religious duty, and also mean social order, right conduct, or simply virtue."

And it seems like all of the losties have had something in their past that could be considered wrong conduct. I don't know, just some thoughts.

They never gave Libby's history did they? I know she was in the "hospital" with Hurley but I don't remember any other history on her.

Has anyone here had luck with the website? Joop's corner seems to have timed out connection every time (if you watch that monkey long enough, there is a shadow like a man on it---creepy) and then, the place to sign up for newsletter freezes the site with creepy music and lines going across the screen. Anyone getting a better result or is this all supposed to happen like that?

One thing I noticed on the newsletter page is after you type "yes" that you can see what she's writing don't try to click the submit button, press enter. Then it will ask for the password, type it in and press enter, and then you should have success.

Thanks, but I tried it again and it still isn't working. It won't let me type yes. It automatically starts with the creepy music and lines going across the screen. Does the user name matter?

Hmm ... interesting that on the Hanso Foundation website the bios of the board of directors are inaccessible. Plus the one, Liddy Wales, is not pictured at all. Could she be someone we've seen already? Maybe Rose?

FYI, some info on Persephone.

How about Walt's mother? Anyone remember her name? Or what about Libby? Liddy/Libby - really close. Has to be someone we've met for them not to include the picture!

I had a couple of thoughts about the hanso web site.

First, when you first go to the homepage, after the introduction, there is a video that plays. Right at the beginning of the video, it shows a man with a beard, and I swear, the man looks like one of the others...can't remember his name, but he was the one who spoke to Jack.

Second, look at the picture next to the text, on the homepage, about the electromagnetic research. Doesn't it look like the smoke that we see in LOST, that had the images in it?

Third, one of the executives, Peter Thompson, was cured of cancer at the Alvar Hanso Cancer Center, in Switzerland. I found that interesting, seeing as there have been cures of illnesses, etc., on the island.

And, I got a chuckle out of the fact that Joop is known as Experimental Project 626. Experiment 626 was what Stitch was, wasn't it?

Here are some spoilers for the season finale:

Episode 2.23: Live Together, Die Alone (2-hour season finale) (Desmond-centric)
Airdate: May 24, 2006 from 9 to 11 p.m.

05/09 - Damon Lindelof: The finale is "a battle between faith and reason on the same playing field, where it all began." (and some suggest it all began on the plane) Source: Kristin on E!Online
05/08 - Guest starring are Malcolm David Kelley as Walt, Henry Ian Cusick as Desmond, Sam Anderson as Bernard, M.C. Gainey as Mr. Friendly, Michael Emerson as Henry Gale, Clancy Brown as Kelvin Inman, Tania Raymonde as Alex, April Grace as Ms. Klugh, Alan Dale as Charles Widmore, Stephen Page as Master Sergeant, Michael Bowen as Pickett, Sonya Walger as Penelope, Len Cordova as man no. 1, Alex Petrovitch as man no. 2, Eyal Podell as young man and Cathy Foy as receptionist. Source: ABC

General Season 2 spoilers:

05/09 - Libby is not dead, yet. Source: Kristin on E!Online
05/03 - Lindelof ∧ Cuse: We'll see the resolution of the Michael-Walt story. We're going to answer the question of where Michael has been and resolve the story of him and Walt. The growth of Malcolm David Kelly (Walt) will be addressed in the 3rd season. We'll learn more about Dharma. Desmond will shed some more light on his experience on the island in the three years prior to when Locke came down into that hatch. There is more stuff between Sawyer/Kate/Jack, but the focus is not on the romance between those characters. There are bigger fish to fry. Ana-Lucia and Jack were not in a place where we felt it was believable for them to have a romance. Charlie and Claire have been on a break and there's definitely some advancement in their relationship as part of the finale. the perception might be that we dropped the idea of forming an army, what actually happened was that more significant things replaced the need to develop an army. But that concept is indeed coming back for the finale. You can expect to see more of Rousseau next year, but the story of the wrecked research vessel… it will be coming at some point but we can't guarantee it'll be in Season 3. We'll be introducing new characters in Season 3, so you'll be getting fresh flashbacks. You'll probably see fewer flashbacks of our original characters as we begin to move toward certain inevitabilities. You will learn more about some of the other survivors next year. Also, where the new characters come from in Season 3 is going be part of the fun and anticipation over the summer, and hopefully by the end of the finale you'll be getting some sense of who those characters might be. We are going to produce the next 22 hours of Lost in Season 3. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

Ok, I was poking around the hanso site and clicking around near the exec bios and a new window opened. I cant seem to post the url...but it is
(add the standard beginning)Sublymonal (add the standard ending)
When you start clicking on the wheel thing they light and up and reveal a password! It syas The sublymonal code has been unlocked... The code is
"heir apparent code"

Im not sure what this means, but thought it was pretty cool!

Any ideas?

Question...I have missed the last two episodes and try to keep up thru the thread... but I am confused about Ana-I didn't know she was killed until today. Was she a "other"? I heard she was buds with Henry. Is that right? I am so "Lost"!!!

Did you realize while clicking that the number of clicks went from 4 8 15 16 23 42, surprise, surprise...

Also the "Heir Apparent" is to be put into a spot on the Dr. Thomas Werner Bio page. I can't get much out of it only something that he didn't go to Caltech and may not have a college degree.

Ana-Lucia was not an other. She had tried to kill Henry, but was unable to so Michael said he would do it. She gave Michael the gun and he shoots her and Libby, he then proceeds to go into the room where Henry is locked up and he shoots himself in the arm. It ends there so we don't know if Henry gets away or not, something tells me he does.

Dawn, thanks again for the spoilers. I can't wait for the finale, although when the finale comes, I'll have to wait months for a new one :)
