Sandy, I posted pics of Sawyer from the TV guide the other day. The thread got buried fast. Did you see them?

Sawyer could still be the one to go. All Kristen said is that Josh will be back, BUT, one of the characters are set to come back and then leave again in October.

EEKKK! I missed them! I'm off to dig them up.

When does the new season start???? It better not be one of those late October premieres!

I really don't feel like sifting through about 80+ pages of stuff, so i'll ask, did anyone post the oceanic airlines website already, with what the monster is?

Hi, yes, the Oceanic website was posted already. As far as the description of the monster, if you're talking about what was on the pink "script" it has been posted. If it's something else, tell please!!

I pulled this off of the fuselage. Pure speculation, but an interesting possibility:

"Scott's Spotlight: Lost - A Cloning Experiment?
By Scott Juba
The Trades (www.the-trades.com)

It’s no mystery that “Lost” is one of the most talked about shows on television. What does remain a mystery, however, is the secret behind the “Others” on the island. For those who haven’t already been wrapped up in the wave of excitement surrounding the show, the “Others” are the mysterious people that weren’t on the plane who keep popping up around the island and creating havoc for the survivors.

In a recent interview with “Us Weekly”, “Lost” executive producer Carlton Cuse stated that the two younger men on the mysterious boat that kidnapped Walt (a young boy with special mind powers) during the season finale are “a subtle but long-range clue” about the mysteries of the island.

Intrigued, I re-watched the kidnapping scene, this time paying special attention to the two men to which Cuse referred. Because the scene takes place at night, the camera never fully exposes the men’s physical features, but they look very similar. In fact, they seem to be identical.

So, what does this reveal? Perhaps the “Others” are engaged in human cloning. This would certainly explain the sightings of Jack’s father on the island, especially considering that his father’s body was removed from its casket. Similarly, this theory also sheds light on reports that Ian Somerhalder may appear in some episodes next season, even though Boone is definitely dead. Could we see a cloned version of Boone? Maybe.

Of course, I may be entirely off base, but at least it’s something to consider as we wait for season two of television’s most fascinating show.

My DH says oneofthe guyson the boat looked young in the 16 years ageandmay be Alex the french girls son and maybe the "others" are decendents of the pirates from the black rock. Things to make you go hummmm.

Any more spoilers?
None that I can find :). Shutterbug posted something interesting on the other Lost thread if anyone hasn't seen it yet. It's the post with the link after the sleeslackers (?).

Interesting spoiler bengalbelle! I've turned up the brightness all the way on my monitor and I still can't see much of the kidnapping scene. I can't wait for the next season of Lost to start but of course that would mean the end of summer :( What a dilemna *lol*

Nope, just what was on the pink script :)

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed about Sayid and Charlie (since we know Sawyer will be back)

I was on the other thread and I read the Land of the Lost link. I used to watch the show as a kid and after reading the link a lot of it came back to me. I cannot believe all of the similiarties between the shows. I wonder if the producers of Lost got their ideas from this show. Does anyone else think that?

I do. Here's the link in case some people haven't read it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleestak#Sleestak
Anyway, I'm probably waaaay off base with this, but these are some similarities I see:

Obviously the name. Jon Locke was listed as the actor who played the leader of the Sleez things and we have John Locke who has been set up to be a leader of our Lostaways.

Sleestak are more intelligent than Pakuni, able to manufacture crossbows, rope, nets, and other relatively sophisticated technologies.
This made me think of the sophisticated traps on the island. It's possible those traps were set by Danielle, but I guess they could also be the work of The Others.

Sleestak live in the Lost City, an underground tunnel complex originally constructed by the Altrusians.
Sound familiar? Many people believe the hatch is part of an underground tunnel system. Many people also believe that's how Ethan was moving around the island. I happen to agree.

They hate bright light and rarely venture out during the day
The Others came out at night. Maybe it doesn't mean anything, but it is a similarity.

The Sleestak are very defensive of the Lost City. They know that their ancestors built it, but do not know how or why. They have occasionally tried exploring beyond the chasm that separates the Lost City from the rest of the Land, but their expeditions generally never return and they consider the City to be their only refuge.
There is a lot of speculation that you can't leave this island.

The Sleestak have encountered many other humans who have become trapped in the Land of the Lost before the Marshalls arrived, and regard humans as a terrible threat; they attempt to capture and sacrifice humans to their god at every opportunity.
They are capturing humans, but I think it's for reasons of survival or experimentation rather than sacrifice. I do think it's interesting that we see "the Marshalls".

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's similiar. It was such a campy show and "Lost" seems to be so much more than that, but you cannot deny the similiarites. If the producers are in their late 30's/early 40's, they probably watched Land of the Lost. It will be interesting if they admit this is where they got their ideas from.

I hate to preface everything I say about Lost with "I read somewhere... but...I read somewhere that the creators and writers used lots of different shows/books as inspiration for the show. There have been similarities to Land of the Lost, Stephen King, Twilight Zone (I think), and more. I believe most of them were Sci-Fi and I don't watch or read Science Fiction, so I wouldn't recognize any of that. Lost message boards have some of this info on there.

Thanks for the info. The funny thing about this show is, even with all of the spoilers, we still don't know what's going on ;)

Anyone else having trouble going onto the Sleestak site? Whenever I click it, it just makes a noise :confused3
