LOST....*WARNING* Future Spoilers

LOL-I knew you would be!

Here are some new spoilers from spoilerfix:

03/19 - Medical problems abound, as Jack toys with letting Sawyer suffer from his blinding headaches and Locke develops strange symptoms of his own while trying to crack open that enigmatic hatch. Meanwhile, the rift between Michael and Jin makes work on the raft quite a chore. Emily: Swoosie Kurtz. Cooper: Kevin Tighe. Eddie: George O'Hanlon. Source: TitanTV

03/20 - Matthew Fox confirmed that Jack does not die. He has says the death will lead to a divide with the island survivers. Source: Advocate Magazine (Thanks Pvargo8148 for the tip.)

03/19 - ABC will air a one-hour "introductory guide" to Lost. The special is designed to help new viewers catch up on the series' sometimes dense mythology as well as act as a refresher course for regular fans. The "Lost" special, set to air on Wednesday, April 27 at 8:00/7:00c (the show's regular time period), will focus on the characters of Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Sawyer (Josh Holloway) and Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) and retell their respective backstories in a linear fashion. It's unclear however how the clips will be introduced and if the hour will include any "behind-the-scenes"-type footage. Source: TheFutonCritic

OK, Charlie, Locke, and Jack have been ruled out. Anyone else I'm not remembering? I wish someone would rule Sawyer out!!!!!!!!!

I'm excited about the one hour special.

Well, if Jack can't deliver Claire's baby because he is taking care of someone else, is it Sawyer with the headaches, Locke with paralysis (that is my guess as to what will happen to Locke when he tries to open the hatch), or someone else entirely? So many patients, so little time.
And I can't believe the producers would allow Matthew Fox to actually say it's not Jack who dies.

If it's not Jack, it's gotta be Micheal. Such a waste, when Boone is sitting there begging for it.

Not just to make you feel better, but I really don't think it is going to be Sawyer. Who does he trust enough that if they went back on him, it would be the "ultimate betrayal"? He & Kate are no where near that level of trust--they don't even really have a relationship yet. And while he's hot, a lot of people don't like Sawyer due to some of the things he's done on the island--so it would not be a very teary occurrence, except to those of us who just like him anyway. He has so much further to go on his journey--there seems to be much more character development possible for him than to kill him. Also there is more emotional impact in having a kid betray his daddy & the daddy die, etc. I think Sawyer is safe.
Why would the producers do something so stupid?

I'm wondering if the character they're killing off is because the producers have no choice. Remember they only scheduled a half season's worth of shows because they didn't think it was going to be as popular as it was. The person being killed off may have made plans with another future series thinking this show would not last, thereby leaving the producers of Lost no choice but to kill this character off. So, even though you may think a character like Jack is too important to the show, there just may be no other choice.

It does make sense and I'm sure one or two have film careers as well(I'm thinking of Naveen Andrews and Dominc Monaghan)

New one!!

03/21 - Shannon and Boone will not hook up again. Someone's poisoning someone. Locke is not the one being poisoned. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Maybe this is why Sawyer is having headaches?

OK, this is from the fuselage. It sounds from this post like we may get some additional information about the 6 characters mentioned:

This article just showed in Variety.com:
The "Lost" hour, set to air April 27 in the show's normal timeslot, will be of particular interest to current fans of the show. That's because the special will take the bits and pieces of information the show has doled out about six main characters over the last six months -- and retell their stories in a linear fashion.

"You get to see how these characters are all interwoven and just how deep this show is," Benson said.

Special -- from Metropolitan/ Hodder Group -- will focus on the characters of Jack, Kate, Locke, Sawyer, Charlie and Sayid. "What we did was break it down to a core of characters that seem to cross back and forth between everyone's lives," Taylor said, adding that there'll also be a segment on the island itself.

It may be stuff we've already figured out by chatting here and other places, or maybe they will add some extras or will show relationships we've missed.

Not much new, but this is from Kristen's chat today:

From kinzie: Are Boone and Shannon gonna hook up again on Lost?
I've heard no.

From aver: You're not going to spoil us about who dies on Lost, are you? Please don't.
You have my word. For better or worse, I'm unable to on this one, because it is so worth the wait!

From charlie: I've had enough. Just tell us who dies on Lost.
It would be the last thing I'd ever say about this show. All my sources would cut me off faster than chicken fat. But here's what I can say, which I think should settle your nerves a bit. At the Paley Festival, JJ Abrams said, "Jack was supposed to die in the second act, which Damon [Lindelof] and I thought was a great idea...and we still might do." He laughed. Matthew Fox laughed. JJ slapped Matthew's knee lightheartedly, and it was all good fun. The point? No one seemed to take it seriously. In my tube-stunted mind, that means Jack is safe. But we all know I've been wrong before. As you'll know for sure when it all goes down.

From brady: Are you saying you were wrong on the timing?
I'm saying I've made a conscious effort (at a source's request...no, insistence) not to talk about when the death happens. I really want you all to be surprised, and based on what I've said describing how it happens, you might be able to figure it out. So, please, I am so very, very sorry, but my hands are tied on this one. I do know when it happens. I cannot say when. And you can direct your fan mail to tvdiva@eonline.com.

From mr_mike25: Are there two deaths in Lost? And who's right, you or Ausiello?
I am not taking a stance on the timing of the stance. And remember, the only way I ever worded that was "I'm told that..."

From sunnybiss77: On Lost, the spoilers currently point to Sawyer being the dead guy. Any insight?
Interesting. Wanna know what else? Someone's poisoning someone.

From caryjane: Is Locke the one being poisoned?
No.

From taki80: Didn't you say someone was going to be outed on Lost?
Yes, but I'm not talking about sexuality here. Someone is outed, and it's très traumatic and shocking for many of the gang.

From quixoticleila: I can't believe people are giving you so much crap about not spilling the death on Lost! I mean that is a huge deal, and they just can't seem to grasp your position in the situation!
Quixoticleila, me love you long time. For the others who might not know "my position in the situation" it's this: I get reliable scoop on Lost because I am friends with people who work on the show. They tell me things. They also, in cases of huge stuff like this death, specifically forbid me from revealing whom it is. If I spill, that link is cut off, and we are left miserable and scoopless, so, frankly, it's not worth it. On top of that, I truly think it's better if you don't know on massive shockers like this! So, I really am sorry if it annoys you, but I hope you guys can understand.

I just found this article.

http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,271|94107|1|,00.html

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Saturday (March 12) night's "Lost" lovefest at the William S. Paley Television Festival ended a little after 9 p.m. and no sooner were the closing words out of the moderator's mouth when an audible "Whoosh" could be heard in Director's Guild of America Theatre. Fans, some of whom had arrived at 6:30 in the morning to queue up for the event, surged the stage, lunging by exiting patrons to get close to their favorite cast members and creative talent.
As this pent-up enthusiasm -- to say nothing of boffo ratings, overflowing Internet boards and boundless critical adoration -- suggests, "Lost" has, in short order, become a genuine obsession for those who follow its every unsolved mystery. So serious was the crowd on Saturday that much of the conversation was fueled by issues of life and death, particularly for one "Lost" character. While co-creator J.J. Abrams has made it clear that one member of the show's core ensemble won't make it through May sweeps, getting more information out of him might take the kind of interrogation skills that Naveen Andrews' Sayid picked up in the Republican Guard.

Abrams would only say that the character's death hit him hard.

"I wasn't really surprised that the death of this character was as hard in real life as it was on the show," Abrams said.
Showrunner Carlton Cuse added, "We felt that on a story level, we needed to retain the life-and-death stakes," noting, somewhat humorously, that with a bursting-at-the-seams cast of series regulars, ABC wouldn't have minded some additional casualties during the season.

None of the "Lost" producers would elaborate on which character would die, how they would die or even when the episode would air. The only hint on the latter point was Abrams' admission that he'd seen at least a rough cut of the big episode, suggesting that the episode will come before the yet-to-be-completed two-part finale which will air as a standard episode and then as a 90-minute conclusion. The eight cast members in attendance were able to kid about the upcoming death, with Jorge Garcia acknowledging that his own mother was less interested in Hurley's fate than in one particular fan favorite.

"I said 'I one of us is gonna die this year,' and she said, 'Not Sawyer,'" Garcia said, a joke that earned both laugher and nods of agreement from more than a few of the session's female attendees.

For Abrams, one of the evening's major themes was passing along credit for the show's breakout success. In absentia, former ABC bigwig Lloyd Braun, co-creator Damon Lindelof and frequent director Jack Bender got shout-outs. Abrams also frequently toasted the actors and at various points asked casting director April Webster, composer Michael Giacchino and a motley crew of writers to stand up in the crowd to receive applause.

Abrams also made sure to show love to the "Lost" fans, a choice that he may have made even if some of the more passionate followers didn't seem just a bit rabid.

"The thing about the fans of 'Lost' is that they're so smart and so aware," he said, adding, "We can't believe that people get the connections they get, whether they're there or not."

Although Abrams laughed (appropriately) at a question about when frequent "Alias" plot device Rimbaldi would become a factor on "Lost," he admitted that the show's staff is very conscious of viewer response on sites including "The Fuselage." Thankfully Abrams dismissed the popularly held theory that the castaways are stranded in Purgatory, though he claimed to like the idea.

"I'm so grateful and beholden to the fans and to not listen to them would be moronic," Abrams said, fueling many a webmaster ego.

It was a spirited session, characterized by cast banter and collegial teasing. Toward the end, the performers were asked to give their own suggestions for upcoming plot lines.

"I think Sawyer should throw a party," suggested Josh Holloway. "He's got all these goods."

Making another reference to "Alias," Harold Perrineau suggested, "I hope we find out Michael works for SD-6."

For his part, Dominic Monaghan said that he'd pitched an episode that concluded with burnt-out rocker Charlie sipping tea with the island's previously unseen monster.

"I just feel like Season Six we're gonna flash back to, 'Hey, remember that crash we were all in'" cracked Garcia.

Nobody, though, knows where things will really go. Even Abrams says as much.

"I would be an absolute liar if I said every single thing was planned out from the beginning."

I found this to be the most interesting bit of information...I wonder what this is about? Is someone revealed to be not part of the passengers like Ethan? Or is someone outed as bringing down the plane? Or is Kate outed as a criminal?

Outed as in killed

ETA: From Watch with Kristen, there's heavy speculation that Sayid is the one who does the offing. I would assume he found out who knocked him unconscious and performed payback

Maybe, just maybe this "death" is all hype-we'll all get upset once it happens, whoever it is, but then next season, the character reappears (maybe not right away) and as alive as ever. This is a mysterious, magical island, you know! Anything is possible and there are no boundaries. Just food for thought.

This is a good thought because before both Charlie and Shannon were "dead" then both turned out to be nothing.
As much as I love everyone and wish no one was dying, I might get a little perturbed if they do this UNLESS they have something really tricky up their sleeves. I think the writing has been superb so far and as much as I hate the thought of the death, I think whatever happens with it will be really good.
