I bought a television $98 one during black Friday. It does not work. I lost the receipt. Can Walmart pull up my purchase using my debit card like Target does?

I don't think so but they will generally let you exchange it with no problem. Or give you a gift card to use in the store. I think you can only do that a couple times a year.

Yes. You can but it takes time and patience. You need to go back to the store that you bought it from. This won't work at any store. Just the store it was purchased. You will need to know the date. Around the time. And if you remember where you checked out. This info will help them look through all the receipts that day. Also, if you purchased anything else with it. Oh and the grand total from the purchase of the tv. Go to customer service and ask them to pull it. They may have to research it and get back to you. So don't go in expecting I walk out with the receipt. But they should be able to get it to you that day. The will call you once they have it. But this can be done. So if they say no then ask for a manager. However, if this was one of those 1 hour guarantee, you will have to go though Walmart.com services. They dealt with those. But if you physically walked in and purchased a tv at the store they an pull it.

Generally speaking, if this was one of their black Friday specials, it is a make, or model they don't normally carry, ordered or built to order just as a black Friday. The good news is, they should be able to identify it on sight, the bad news is, they won't be able exchange it since they are all gone and no more will be in stock. You will probably end up with a full refund on a gift card that you can use on another, and probably more expensive, TV.

You may not have your receipt, but you have your bank statement showing the transaction. Make a copy of that, black out the other info on the statement, and bring it with you to the Walmart where you made the purchase. It might speed things up in terms of tracking down the info about your TV purchase. I agree that you won't find a TV of the same price to exchange for your broken one. Probably it was a black Friday special purchase by Walmart, of limited quantity.

I know that all my purchases by cc on Black Friday did not show up lon my account until Monday. They showed pending throughout the weekend. So that may or may not be the case.

OP, I agree with others, you will probably get a store credit to put towards another purchase. I was in Walmart on Tues and they still had decent prices on TV's albeit not the 98.00 price on a nicer sized TV. Hopefully, you will be able to work things out. At the very least, what another posted regarding the date/time/register/total/what you bought should help them find the receipt. I would call the location you purchased and speak to a manager. They may be able to start looking for you.
