Lost Tickets

Last year at MK my daughter lost her MYW ticket. We had purchased a package, so it was very easy for guest relations to track our info and get her a new ticket.
If I were to buy tickets from the Disney Store or through Undercover Tourist what would happen if a ticket was lost, is it traceable or would we have to buy a new ticket ? :sad2:

When you activate your tickets at TDS, they will give you an activation slip. KEEP that slip. The Disney Store tickets are unlike others...they don't have an activation number printed on the back of them because they aren't activated until they are swiped through the register. So the activation slip is very important for you to keep...and make a photocopy of it while you're at it. In the event a TDS ticket gets lost, all you need to do is take the slip to guest services...they will deactivate the lost ones and reissue you new ones.

UT tickets will have the number printed on the back of them, so make a photocopy of the back as soon as they arrive. Same concept applies...if you lose them, hand over the photocopy.

Yes, but only if YOU do the right things right after you BUY it.
Copy all of the numbers, names, etc. from the ticket and save them.
Or better yet... PHOTOCOPY (or computer scanner and print) both sides of the tickets and save THAT.

AND save your store receipt (copy that, too.)

If you have a Disney Store ticket, it will be scanned at WDW. When they do this you will be given an activation receipt. It will have your activation number on it. Photocopy (and/or write the number down) and save that for proof of the ticket purchase if you ever lose the actual ticket.

More Info:

1. Write each person's name and your (cell) phone number on EACH PERSON's own ticket.

2. Copy down ALL number info FROM EACH ticket.

3. Store that info at home. (Computer. Hard Copy.)

4. Email that info TO YOURSELF and leave it in your inbox.
That way you can retrieve the info (from your email account) ON-LINE from anywhere with a computer.

5. Carry that info with you (separate from the tickets themselves) to WDW.

There are many MANY tickets that get left inside a FP machine or otherwise lost.
If you have your legal ID and ALL the PROPER INFO for your ticket(s) (Disney will have a record of the times "used" in the central computer), the ticket(s) can be replaced quickly by Guest Services at the front of any park.

Make sure you KEEP and TAKE your "backup" copies with you (in a safe place) during your TRIP.

That way, at Guest Relations, they can replace your lost tickets with no problems.

p.s. Adults should always carry their legal photo IDs for proof of identity in these cases.
