Lost - Season Six (Spoilers Welcome)

These last few posts were like a confusing ping pong game!:rotfl2: The whole show is confusing, but that's why I love it! Anyone else get the feeling that the island inhabitants are all pawn in a human chess game? I know that'd be really lame-o (wizard chess, anyone?), but a couple of things that were said (Sayid being taken over by the dark), plus all of the previous black vs. white and game playing (jacob and the "bad" guy, Locke and Walt way back when), made me think that.:confused3

What I found to be nice was, tonight at 8 when they ran part 2 of LA X again, they put words at the bottom of the screen that explained everything I'd imagine that the producers wanted to make sure we didn't miss. For the first time in my life, I was screaming at my TV (I watch on the computer, the big screen TV may have made a difference, but hubby wasn't giving that up) because they were running the schools that were canceled or delayed tomorrow. Heck, I can check online for that!!!!! ROFLMAO (we are canceled) I just missed some of the text because of that!

I hope they do something similar next week. I'm sure there is a lot that went way over my head tonight. I agree with, LoveKermit, in that it most certainly did feel like a filler episode.

The good news is, the producers have said that we only get the forward/past/sideways flashes for 1/3 of the season, then that's all over. So, we'll know sooner rather than later, IMO. My guess is, for the last 10 or so episodes, we'll be rooting for our favorite character's survival (and we probably all love all the characters from the Oceanic flight).

When Sawyer and Juliette first got together, I was like eeeww. Then when she went down the hole and he was holding onto her, I was like, dang, that boy can't catch a break.

The flash forwards, or backs as it were, all seem to have the members still connect with one another in some form. Kate and Claire. Jack and Locke. I can't believe it is the final season.

P.S. I adore Hurley. Loved him asking Siayad if he was a zombie and Siayad says, no I am not a zombie.

But Ethan was a baby on the island when the bomb went off in 1977.

I guess the bomb is not what sunk the island.

I was thinking that too, but then I remembered that right before the bomb, Miles told his dad to get all the women and children off the island, so if Ethan's parents were part of the Initiative, then he might not have been on the island when it blew up and sank.

If that's the case, then we'll see Juliet and others who weren't on the island in the 70s too.

Ethan would have left the island when Dr Chang had all the women and children leave the island in the sub.

Ethan being there at the hospital surprised me. In 2004, I'd think he'd be on the island with Ben and the others...but who knows in this alternate reality/timeline and what the effects of the bomb being taken and made to go off are....yet.

These flash-sideways episodes are showing us that the bomb worked. There is no island in 2004. Desmond on the plane with Jack told us that. He should have been pushing the button, but instead he was on the plane.

 Lost chess game.

The women and children left on the sub before Juliet set off the bomb.

Kate, Juliet and Sawyer were on the sub but they forced (at gun point) the captain to let them off. They went back to the island to confront Jack who had the bomb. We can guess that it was at least a couple of hours from when the sub left until the bomb when off.

All and all I didn't like last night's episode. Ok. Claire is the new Rousseau and Sayid is now "infected." It is the final season, lets move things along!

Remember when Jin was with the french people and the smoke monster got one and spit him out and he instantly turned on his fiance and she had to shoot him?? I think THAT is what they think happened to Sayid/Claire.

Sawyer is my favorite and it is so sad to watch him so miserable....no funny one-liners, no shirt off:rotfl: I hope he snaps out of his grief to help the other losties. (he did have one funny comment about Sayid getting to come back to life)

I still think that Jacob has set them all on this path from the beginning--visiting them and everything---that's why the temple people said that the losties HAD to be back there right away.

Overall, a weak episode for answers.

Last night DH said he feels like they should just show us the finale and be done with it.

It would help everyone (us and the Losties) if the Temple people would just SAY what was going on--why they had to be there, etc.

Still annoyed (and I graded ONE of my bizillion papers so far....)

I feel like that episode represents an hour of my life that I'll never get back. So filler. It's almost like all you need to watch are the first and last 5 minutes and you're good. Sure hope they let a little more info out next week, because they keep promising to, and then they really don't deliver a whole lot.:sad2:

Last show is May 23...we have a few months to go...than what?:confused3 How will we recover from having no Lost???:confused:

Yep, I agree with this.:thumbsup2

As for why they're showing the island in 2007 (the temple and all that stuff), I think that even though the island was destroyed when Juliet detonated the bomb (which is why they showed us the island at the bottom of the ocean, Desmond on the plane, etc.), since they want us to see the island as a living thing, the island has some unfinished business (the battle between Jacob and black shirt) and can't "cross over" to wherever it is that dead islands go until this is settled. So the Losties are part of that alternate time-line to help the island cross over. Sort of like that show with the dark-haired actress who talks to dead people and helps them resolve whatever it is that's keeping them here? (Sorry, I've only seen the commercials and don't watch that show.)

No LOST?!! I am hoping they will write a book series - with all of the details we crave! I'm sure "they" won't - but I can hope!

What do you all think about Sawyer's storyline now? Boy, I was in tears watching him last night. What acting! You could really believe his grief, starting with his comment in the temple about why the torturer (Sayid) is alive while Juliet is dead. And the scene on the dock with Kate. Kate really ticked me off - I think she FINALLY realized that Sawyer was lost to her. She prob. kept thinking that she'd find Sawyer, bat her eyelashes and he'd do whatever she asked. But when she saw how grief-stricken he was over Juliet, she realized that Sawyer was truly in love with Juliet and she (Kate) didn't stand a chance.

I think once Sawyer works thru his grief, he's going to be the knight in shining armor who comes in and saves them all. Maybe he'll meet up with Jin somewhere in the jungle, they'll find Sun and team up with Frank and those guys.

and I've been leaning toward this, but last night really pushed me over the edge: Jack is pathetic. He's supposed to be the "leader" but he's just a screw-up.

I don't think Jack swallowed the poison. I think he emptied it, then just swallowed the capsule. I also think it's possible that he may use that to poison someone else as he pretends to get weaker and weaker, all the while, planning an escape for himself, Hurley, Sayid, and Miles (and anyone else I can't remember at the moment).

EDIT: BTW, I understand Sawyer's pain, but it's really so hard to buy into. It happened technically in too short a period of time for fans to really wrap their brains around how deep a love it might have been. I just find it a hard sell and while I don't like seeing Sawyer in that type of pain, I can't really believe it's that deep. Then again, I never liked Juliet anyway.
