LOST, season finale....

Being the little pregnant lady I am, I'm still recovering from staying up late to watch this!! :rotfl2:

I have gone off Lost a bit since Heroes came along, but still desperately want to know how it's all going to pan out. We guessed it was Locke in the coffin too - who else would be so keen to get back to the island? And it will be interesting to see what happens to those that were left behind - I think Juliet (or Mrs Claus as I call her ;) ) will have taken over as group leader.

Laur's princess:

sorry i missed it..
were carlton cuse and damon lindeloff on? (two of the writers)
those guys are so funny....
i love listening to their podcasts...

::yes:: they were and we worked out it was Locke's funeral too, but you are right about their sense of humour I guess we'll have to wait for next season to see what happens. How they are going to get everyone back on the island is a bit of a mystery since some of them have died and others have "gone missing".

and Sun seems to be in a very ornary mood (is she allying herself with widmore? - but isn't widmore the reason for bad things happening to Gin?)

by the way, on abc.com they show two alternate endings to the last episode...instead of locke in the coffin they have two other people..
you can watch the clips even if you're watching from overseas (only the full episodes are blocked to overseas viewers)..

i'm guessing they filmed it 3 ways to try to keep the spoiler people from giving it away in advance of the broadcast...

I wonder how Locke got off the island. Did he have to move it again himself? As for Sun and Widmore - very interesting

Shame we have quite a wait now

i know...such a long time...i'm already in withdrawal..

i was watching the last episode again and noticed something i hadn't before..
in that dharma video that locke watches while Ben loads metal into that vault..
in the video, the guy says that the rabbit moves in time by a millisecond (or something like that) and as a result "appears invisible"..
so maybe the island hasn't really moved in place, but only in time...
perhaps it's still there, but is invisible...

the idea of moving the island was so that it could not be found again by widmore's people. If it goes back to the exact same place then it would have been for nothing.

Also did anyone notice that when the freighter exploded jin wasnt on the deck.

That whole bit about the rabbit got me thinking too;) I think the island is way older that we take it to be. The symbols on the wheel Ben turned were not just the ones we've already seen on the Dharma signs but some of them look like egyptian symbols too.

Perhaps that technology is ancient but powerful...maybe the island could explain how Atlantis disappeared and cultures all over the world claim to know where and when it existed. Or could it be alien technology? Could that be the real reason Widmore wants his grubby hands on it??
Sorry been watching too much Bones and listening to the conspiracy theorist in the show for too long:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Calling on all my Dis Friends for your Lost Help.

Dh and I watched Lost religiously during Seasons 1 and 2, but then DH said that he was getting Lost himself :faint: and decided that he could not be bothered with it anymore. DH said he could be still trying to work things out 15 more seasons later and give it up as a bad job.

I attmepted to keep it up but then seemed to lose it on my SKY Plus planner and consequently ended up missing some of Season 3 and all of Season 4.

Well, I accidently switched upon Season 4's finally and ended up watching it all, including the chat with the Writers afterwards all the time regretting not watching what I'd missed.

Can anyone give me a brief recap of Season 4 mainly, I'm once again hooked and looking forward to Season 5.:cool1:

I'll try, based on a combination of memory and Lostpedia.

Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Aaron were revealed as members of the "Oceanic 6".

Hurley ends up back in the mental institution after a car chase with police.

Sayid was revealed to be working in the future for Ben as a hitman after Widmore's men killed Sayid's wife Nadia.

Kate escaped prison by agreeing to a deal with the Prosecution whereby she would be sentenced to 10 years Probation and a condition not to leave the state.

Episode 5 was one of the best of the season and involved Desmond travelling backwards and forwards in time.

Sun gives birth to a baby girl and, together with Hurley, visits Jin's grave.

Michael tries to commit suicide a number of times but is told by Tom that "the island won't let (him) die". He ends up working on the freighter as a spy for Ben.

Jack and Kate begin living together but after Jack sees a vision of his father the relationship falls apart and Jack begins taking drugs.

Ben's daughter is killed by Widmore's men leading Ben to say "He changed the rules". Ben goes to see Widmore and tells him: "We both know I can't kill you."

I think that's the main plot points from the season, sorry it wasn't quite so "brief". :)

Thanks Wickesy.

Still quite "lost" no pun intended.

But I think thats the point, I'm supposed to be confused.

Maybe the only time I won't be is at the end of Season 6. (Hopefully)
