Last Friday night I shamefully lost my 5 day park hopper after only 2 days of use in Disneyland. I think it happened when I was digging out my HM fastpasss after watching Fantasmic (from behind the middle light tower thanks to the great info on these boards!). I realized it was lost just as I was returning to the PPH for the night. Frantic, I asked the person at front desk if there was anything I could do to replace it. I also told him that I had taken a picture of my park hopper with my iPhone if that would help (another tip I learned on these boards:). He asked me how I purchased it and when I told him through airmiles he said that it could only be replaced if I had purchased it through Disney. My only option at this point was to purchase a 3 day hopper and although I was grateful that he gave me a $50 discount I was not to happy to spend a extra $186:sad2:. He did leave me somewhat hopeful when he said I could be reimbursed if it shows up at lost and found.

The next morning I headed back to the park with my new 3 day park hopper. I stopped in at lost and found and showed the cast member my photo. She headed to the back with my phone and a second cast member took down my contact info. When the first cast member returned, she had a newly printed 5 day hopper in hand that she was able to re-print due to the picture on my phone! :cool1:

That's great! I'm glad you got it all figured out. Taking a picture of your ticket with your phone is a fantastic idea!!!!! I will definitely be doing that when we go next month!

Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

Nice!! Glad that worked out for you :) I will be photographing all my families tickets when I take them next year

I have to remember to take pictures next time. My DH accidentally threw our 5 day hoppers (only 4 days used) in the trash on our last trip and the best I could get out of Disney (on the phone) was "you should look through the trash." :(

Glad you got it worked out - and hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip!

Wow, that's fantastic! I would have been devastated if I lost my ticket. I'm so glad it worked out for you. Taking that picture and thinking to ask lost and found really paid off. I know people who would just cut their loses and be bummed the rest of the trip.

Wow thats great!
Thanks for the tip about taking a photo of your tickets. I will definately be doing that from now on. I am always so paranoid about losing my familys tickets. I one time lost my families tickets but later found them (thanks to some great CMs). Ever since then I am constantly checking to make sure they are still there.

Really glad that worked out for you! Another tip is to write your cell phone number on the tickets too. If you lose them like you did, you will have a better chance of someone getting them back to you.

That is a great tip! I will definately do that next time. I had all our park hoppers and fast passes in a zippered change purse. I think next time I will keep the park hoppers separate from the fast passes so there is no risk they will fall out while searching for fast passes in the dark!

I have made photo copies of my hopper passes before but taking a picture would be really good if you didn't have them ahead of time to make a copy. I love the idea of writing your cell number on it. Also makes it easier to identify that it is yours as well. Glad to hear they got you new passes.

I lost my hopper at WDW this summer and thankfully I had the receipt. I went to guest services and had no trouble getting another one.

Thanks so much for these tips. I will be taking pictures of my passes AND writing our cell phone number on them. thanks so much.

We just lost our hoppers last month (along with DD's high school ID). Thinking quickly, I went to the hotel's free computer (Park Vue) and went to my e-mail account and re-printed a copy of my receipt for purchasing the tix (did it through Disney). I took that to a ticket booth and they reprinted our tix! Woo! Hoo!

I actually found a five day park hopper ticket (on its first day of use) in CA near the Grizzly river run about six months ago. I turned it in to the nearest castmember. (hope they got it back to the owner) The fortunate thing about being an AP holder is that if you ever lose it, it's no big deal to get a replacement.

Funny thing .... just wanted to share.... I was at CA last weekend and found another Park Hopper in the same exact spot in front of GRR as I did 6 months ago (3 Day Hopper this time ... first day of use). Did the same thing ... gave it to the nearest CM.

Oh that panic that you must experience when you lose your ticket! I am for sure taking pictures of our tickets on our next visit. What a great tip! And I'm so happy your lost ticket had a happy ending!! :)

Had you taken a photo of the ticket when it was already signed? I am thinking you must have, since they would put a cancel on that one that you lost, and if you didn't put a signature on it, whoever finds it could have tried to sign it and use it, of course, they would have been in a bind, since it was canceled. I am thinking had you not signed it, they may not have honored it? Good to know it was from Air Miles, original purchase. I always bring my Air Miles receipt with me as well, BUT of course it does not have the Disney tickets #'s on it. I have always taken photos of my tickets with my camera, as well, front and back of course, but had not ever thought to put my phone # on it. My daughter and I also found a ticket, in the washroom at California Adventure Park, it was only a one day ticket for a group of kids, so we turned it in, and they gave my daughter the Honorary Citizen badge. :)

A bit off topic here, but anyone remember the lady who mentioned she takes a photo of her phone number, etc. (written on a piece of paper) so that if the card was ever missing, or if someone stole camera and ditched the card, that someone might be able to track them down. I also take photos of everything we pack in each suitcase, so if the flights lose the luggage, we have an easy to retrieve photo record.
