Has anyone ever lost tickets(or had them stolen in my case) but had copies of them and had them replaced? If so, where did you go and was it hassle free? TIA!

As long as you have some proof, and the tickets were not used, or you know when and where they were properly used, you should be able to go to any park ticket booth or Guest Realtions Office on property. This also worksd if one person in a group is missing a ticket.

If you do not have the serial numbers of the tickets, and do not have the receipt, if they were purchased directly from Disney World (including online) and you have the same credit (or debit) card that was used to purchase the tickets the people at Guest Relations will be able to dig through the computer to find the original transaction and reissue the tickets.

The big problem that may occur is if you lost the tickets (or they were stolen) and then they were used. Then it becomes more complicated and a Guest Relations Manager will definitely have to get involved.

ok, long story short.....My purse was stolen, it had a total of eight tickets in it. My purse was found in the woods and all of the credit cards and anything resembling one were missing. I had originally recovered two of the tickets, but when my DH went on a desk cleaning rampage, he accidently threw them away. I still have copies of them though along with a copy of the receipt. I've already had the other eight tickets replaced. (Thank you Rosa!! You are the best!!!) Now we are 18 days away from our trip and I need to figure out where to go to replace the other two tickets.

Like Cheshire Figment said, head to Guest Relations with your receipt and the copies of the 2 you still need replaced and they will take care of you. :)

Have a great trip!

Now, stupid question......Guest relations is at the Ticket and Transportation Center, right?

We have had one replacedwhen dd accidently left her pass in a fast pass machine. It was very easy. You can do it at any of the Guest Relations booths at any of the parks. We actually did not have the receipt or a copy of the ticket. They used the number off the back of my ticket and were able to backtrack it that way.

My only question would be, if the tickets have been stolen and activated and used by someone else, would Disney still replace them? I would call and notify them of the theft, so that the originals can be deactivated.

It's not at all a stupid question! :)

I don't believe there's a Guest Relations location at the TTC. There is one at the entrance to all 4 theme parks. At the Animal Kingdom and the Disney-MGM Studios, it's to the left of the entrance turnstiles. At the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, it's to the right of the entrance turnstiles.

There's 3 additional locations. One of them is at the International Gateway entrance behind World Showcase. (Convenient if you're staying at the Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk, Yacht Club or Beach Club). There are 2 locations at Downtown Disney. One at the Marketplace between Eurospain and Team Mickey. The other is on the West Side next to Wetzel's Pretzels.

Wow, I'm glad that I asked then, lol. The DTD locations will be perfect.
We will be arriving early Saturday morning but not doing the parks until Sunday. I had planned to hit DTD that afternoon. Thanks so much for the info!!!

CMs at the FastPass area collect tickets which are left behind. Last Saturday I discovered I was missing a ticket, went to the FastPass where it was used 2 hours prior, CM whipped out a stack of tickets and found mine within seconds. MAGIC!

Another question.(maybe should be a separate thread) If you do not buy from WDW direct, but order from Undercover Tourist and there is a problem with losing or whatever with the tickets, what recourse would you have then. Is that a question for Undercover Tourist? Can anybody venture a guess. We are thinking of the 10 day non expiring and just thinking about what could happen. TIA Grammy

Grammy:

Just make a photocopy of the back of the tickets and keep that in a safe place. Another trick is to take a picture of the back of each ticket with your digital camera and once again, make sure those numbers are readable.

If you lose the tickets, that photocopy of the back of the tickets with the numbers clear and readable -- is all you need to get them replaced most times.

WDW is great about dealing with these things.

We were in WDW in Oct, we had bought 4 tixs through airmiles (Canada) and had them months before the trip. First Day of the trip, we head to MK, go to swipe the cards and my DD's would not take, other 3 were fine.I went to guest relations they checked the tix it had been reported as lost, reissued and used.

OH NO! I'm thinking here is a big problem. I don't have a reciept since we got them thru a miles program, and my MIL's one at that, I had no ID on me, just the other 3 tix's. the CM saw that the tix's were all sequential numbers, that the other 3 had only just been activated and took my word for it. They were 7 day Water park and more, non-expiring tickets.

CM was great, I though for sure I was going to have to make phone calls to prove my tickets, etc.

Disney knows what to do with lost, stolen, misplaced tickets and deal with it all very quickly. Now if they would just let you extend your days over more than 14 days (even just 20 or so) for those people doing a little WDW before and after a Disney cruise, it would be great.
