Depends on if you buy SSR from disney or resale.

I think resale contracts only have 38 years left. SSR has 50 years left.

DVC keeps the right of first refusal when selling your membership. Basically if you try to sell it to someone for real cheap disney will buy it back from you at that price instead of allowing you to sell it to the buyer you found.
