I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet. We just lost our 8 yr. old Golden Retriever last Monday. My one year old is doing the same thing Mellie's sister is doing - he won't eat and is glued to my side every second of the day!

Hang in there - each day gets a tiny bit better.

Carrie, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my two babies 6 years ago and even though I have 4 fur-babies today I still miss my first babies. I believe that they are all waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

I am sitting here just numb because we have just had the same happen to us tonight. Our rotweiler Sally was with us just 4 years (we took her in as a stray) and she was about 10 or 11 now I guess, we never knew. She started throwing up and not eating yesterday, I took her to the emergency ER and she was given an injection for the nausea. Today she got worse, we took her back in and she died shortly after we arrived. We are so sad.

Anyway I'm sorry to hijack your post but I feel your pain so much tonight. Losing a pet is so very hard.

I wanted to take time today to thank you all so very much for your kind words and thoughts. What a wonderful group of people I have found here on the Dis!! Just wanted to tell you that Mellie's sister, Lilly, felt your support and she actually ate breakfast!!! She still wont get off my lap!!! I'm a little nervous about leaving her to go back to work tomorrow.

Linda, I am so sorry for your loss and know every emotion you are going through! Lots of hugs to you.
