Lost my dear mom this afternoon...

 I am very sorry to hear this... but I am glad you got to spend the last 3 weeks with her...

We lost my Mom a couple months ago. She had health issues and then was hospitalized. While at the hospital we all took turns staying with her. She was diagnosed with cancer and sent home. We lost her 5 days later.

It was really a blessing and the answer to our prayers because, except for that morning, she didn't suffer that much. She was at home with family when she left us.

Now she is with my Dad and is not in any pain.

Yes, we miss her (especially this past weekend - Mother's Day), but we know she is feeling fine now.

Please accept my sympathy at your time of loss.

So sorry for your loss of your Mom.

I am so sorry, I know nothing will really make you feel any better right now but hopefully reading these replies will be the same as a big :grouphug: and you will know we all care about you here

So sorry OP. I can 100% relate. My grandmother died suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday afternoon. I am still walking around in a total fog. She was 86 years young, in great health, active.....I just can't believe it. Hugs to you and your family!

:hug: to both of you as well...

I am so truly sorry for your loss. I know what you mean about it being a privilege to take care of your mom. My 82yr old mom is going through chemo right now for lymphoma and I also feel it is my privilege to take care of her.

Take care of yourself now.

I am so sorry XYRUS and send hugs and prayers to you and your family at this most difficult time :sad1:. DH and I helped my dear Dad for years thru his brave cancer battle, sadly we lost him to the beast 7 yrs ago. Yes, losing a parent is a sad reminder how much we take for granted, to enjoy our loved ones daily and count our blessings. May your dear Mom's memories warm your heart in all days as she smilies upon and guides you from above.

:grouphug: and prayers to all who know the sad pain of losing a loved one.

I know your pain all too well as we attended my mother's funeral yesterday. You have my deepest sympathies. May your pain and feelings of loss pass swiftly, leaving you with happy and fond memories of your mother. God bless.
