Well, I've now decided on WDW to have our wedding...didn't take me that long to choose!!sooooo excited now!!
Think we're going to have the ceremony in France, Epcot. Has anyone else had their ceremony there? and what did they think of it?
Also thinking of having the reception there too, but does anyone know what is meant by "existing seating must be utilised". Does it mean you have to fill the restaurant? There is a minimum spend of $4,000 but it does not state a minimum number of guests.
I haven't got a clue how many guests we'll have yet, but feel it won't be many as they'll have a long way to go!!
Also, in Epcot you get married early, anyone got any ideas of what to do after that...as it seems too early to eat or drink (alcohol!) I don't really want the guests going off to do their own thing untill the reception.
There is so much to think/worry about!! any thoughts, ideas and advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Telling me how you spent your Disney wedding day would be a great help for some ideas too!!

I think most people who have the morning ceremony at Epcot have a brunch reception! I think the utilising existing seating means that you cant change the tables etc and you ahve to use whats already there! Dont think it means you have to fill it all!

Can you have a brunch reception in EPCOT? Or do receptions have to be outside of park hours?

We had a brunch reception at the Living Seas Lounge in Epcot after our 9 am ceremony at the Italy Pavilion. Our rented bus took guests around backstage so they could get to the LS. Cocktail hour started at 10 am. The reception started at 11. We ate starting around 11:30-12. It was great!!

The other benefit for us was that our guests could travel back home that evening, while we were able to spend the rest of the day in the parks by ourselves!

That sounds good. I was looking at the LS, but the room looks quite big. I have no idea how many guests are coming at this stage but imagine it won't be more than 12. Would the LS room be too big for that few people?
Also, regarding the bus, is it a flat rate or do you pay per person?
You were lucky that you had time to yourself after the reception, we'll have our guests for 2 weeks in all.....we'll have to escape on our own for a few days I think!!!!
