I mailed out a $25 gift card for starbucks in the mail, almost two weeks ago and it has not been received. This is the second item I mailed out that has not reach it's destination, the third item I put delivery confirmation, and it made it just fine in only a few days.

I still have the receipt from Starbucks. So is there a way to cancel the original card if it has not been spent? Is there a way to find out if it has been?? I've never had a lost item in the mail like this before. And the gift card was inside a regular envelope with correct postage.

Have you checked starbucks.com? :confused3 They have information on there about lost gift cards.

DD22 lost a gift card once, actually it was melted in our house fire....her Gpa still had the receipt and he was able to contact the issuing store and have it cancelled and reissued. Contact the issuing store and see what they say.

You would need to call Starbucks customer service and explai. Most places have the ability to issue a new gift card when you have the lost gift card's number. I wouldn't go to a Starbucks location unless you call customer service and they tell you to. Most places have to cancel it and issue a new one on the back end and not through their regular register.

Thanks. I'll call in the morning to see what they say. I hope it doesn't take long to replace.

In the future, if you mail things like giftcards, insure them for the amount of the giftcard, and keep the receipt. If the USPS loses it, they have to reimburse you.
