LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

Poor Hurley... he didn't have anyone to dance with :(

I have to say that ad reminds me of a Chanel or Calvin Klein perfume commercial :rotfl: :teeth: Pretty cool though!

The commercial for Oceanic Airlines was on a couple of times. I saw the first one that came on just before the end of Dancing with the Stars and started LOL! DH asked me what was so funny. I told him that Oceanic was the airline on "Lost". He thought it was a commercial for a real airline! :rotfl2:

It's a great movie! If you're going to see it with someone who hasn't seen Indian films before, you might want to warn them that there's a lot of singing and dancing in the movie. I watched it with some guy friends (who only wanted to see Aishwarya Rai) and were not expecting the musical parts.

I didn't know that Naveen Andrews was dating Barbara Hershey. Interesting!
I know this is OT, but I watched Bride and Prejudice tonight and I have to talk about Naveen Andrews (Sayid) in this movie.

First of all, he is really a great actor! His acting was very natural and I like him even more after seeing him in this movie. He was perfect for the role of Mr. Bingley (from the original P&P).

Now that that's out of the way, it took me forever to watch the movie because I kept rolling it back to the opening song and dance number, which was hysterical! I will never look at Sayid the same again. The next time there is a tense moment on the Lost island, I'll be waiting for him to bust out the MC Hammer moves :rotfl: (I'll be watching this part a few more times before I return the DVD tomorrow, lol).

General thoughts about the movie:
I realize he (Naveen) couldn't have as much screen time due to the part he was playing, but I would have loved to see more of him. He really was good. I especially loved his face during the "Cobra Dance" (which was also hysterical).

I thought everyone was well suited for their parts EXCEPT the guy who played Mr. Darcy. BLECH!! He didn't have the haughtiness to pull of Mr. Darcy and it was just poor casting.

Anyway, if you want to see another side of Naveen, rent the DVD :)

I saw Bride & Prejudice in the theaters and plan on BUYING it this weekend. And I agree with you about the casting for Darcy.

I think we should all agree that discussing LOST cast members and their work isn't off topic ::yes::

OK, well since you two have my back ;) I'd like to discuss the movie a little more.
I think it's definitely a chick flick. DH came into the room when it was about halfway through and kept asking when it would be over  . Although, if I was a guy and my SO made me look at Aishwarya Rai for 111 minutes, I can't say I'd complain.

I thought the writers and directors did a good job of following the story of P&P with a modern/Indian twist. I just can't get past the casting of Mr. Darcy. He was just awful and not believable at all. I know this movie wasn't meant to be an exact copy of the original, but the characters should have the same feeling to them. I didn't think there was any chemistry between him and Aishwarya Rai, either.

Speaking of Aishwarya Rai, I initially thought she was a strange choice for Elizabeth Bennet because she is so beautiful, but her acting made her believable.

I watched parts of it (particularly the beginning dance number) a few more times today and I'm still loving Naveen in this movie. He was perfectly cast. I also can't get that song out of my head. I've been walking around singing it all morning.

Other standouts besides Naveen: the mother!! She was perfect! The cousin (did you see him in the outtakes at the very end in the THONG :sad2: ) , and Naveen's sister who played the part with just enough snobbiness and had THE BEST lines in the movie.

I haven't seen The English Patient, but I'm going to rent it next.

A note to Naveen fans: he and Aishwarya Rai have filmed another movie together called Provoked. From imdb: Plot Outline: It's the true story of a Punjabi woman named Kiranjit Ahluwalia who leaves India to marry a London-based guy, only to be badly abused. She ends up in prison for murdering her abusive husband.

Just from looking at character names, I'd guess Naveen is the abusive husband. It sounds good to me. He's also filming The Ten Commandments, which will be a TV miniseries.

thanks!! that was just last week

I don't want to jump to conclusions or start a rumor  but doesn't Minnie look pregnant in your picture? I swear I see a bump!

Oh Dear Lord, keep it hush-hush ladies. The government will end up closing down Disney World due to a mouse being born out of wedlock.

Needed more sleestack!

Just watched Sabertooth on the Sci-Fi channel yesterday with Josh Holloway. I sat here and watched the majority of that stupid thing just because of him. I do have to say he's much cuter on Lost. Probably the bad boy thing.
