Oh gosh...I would never rely on that.
DH had his and DS's APs in his lanyard pouch. He went on Screamin', felt a pull from the restraint, but it was too late to do anything about it as the ride was going. Just before the loop, he felt it pull then felt the pouch go flying across his face.
So their lanyard ring had failed to keep it on, and it was lost while on the ride.
We reported it immediately. I mean, left the ride area, walked to the front of the park, reported it.
They said that the CMs go through the track every night with flashlights, and that they'd turn it in if they found it.
If they found it, it would be reported in the system, and while the APs would be destroyed and have to be re-printed, we wouldn't be charged.
They say they never found them. We got to pay. We were seriously hoping for some "pixie dust", but it was NOwhere to be found that day*.
Glad I'd been paying for groceries in cash and saved the change, as that paid for the APs! I know that a few people have reported being given their new APs without a fee, but I doubt if it's the majority, and it's definitely NOT a policy.
*they were lost the last full day of our trip in December...they gave us a one-time pass for the next day while everyone waited to see if they would be found. We got them re-done during our May trip, which I think was quite enough time for them to see if they could find them.
