Lost and looking for help!

Hi everyone! I have not been on these forums in years! I haven't been to Disney for the last 5-10 years! I know so much has changed and I am looking for assistance from experts!
I am taking my boyfriend to Disney World for my birthday during a pandemic! April 9-12! I have the flights the plans for point rental for hotel, and tickets thru undercover tourist! I think I need to buy the magic bands ahead of time?? But so much has opened up since I have been there last, and since COVID somethings aren't opened ! I need recommendations on which park each day and how do I navigate seeing the new stuff as well as the classics?

I know masks are always warn, and fast passes are not working in April yet! But I can't plan dining reservations until I figure out park days!
Can I still park hop? I read somewhere you have to plan your park days and ?let disney know? Is this a thing?

How many days of tickets do you have?

Once your tickets are linked to your account, you need to make a park reservation for each day of your tickets (this is done on MDE). That will be your "main" park for the day. You must have park hoppers in order to park hop. If you have hoppers you can hop to another park after 2pm (based on availability). Magic Bands are convenient, but not required. Dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance.
