Lost an old friend today, my 20 yo cat

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts and hugs and prayers. I am sitting hear sniffling (again) with tears streaming down my face (again) and I was doing so well by the end of the day today! But I needed to come here now and hear from all my friends here. I just knew that you would all be there for me and have exactly the words I needed to hear. What did we do before we had the DIS?!! It's nice to know that you are not alone in what you are feeling and please know that for all of you that are going through the same thing or about to that my thoughts and prayers are with you too. Our four legged family is as much a part of our family as the two legged members. My DH said this morning that it was amazing how something so small (she was a tiny cat) could leave this house feeling so empty and cold. I know it only feels that way now, but it was a rough night and morning. I got up around 2 am to the bathroom and that was "our" time cause she used to "talk" to me then and it was very hard to go back to bed after that. Anyway, I'm rambling again. I just wanted to thank everyone and let you all know how much I really appreciate you all so much. Hugs and much love right back to you all!!

Sorry for your loss. I remember when we put our 15 1/2 year old cat to sleep almost 3 years ago, I was thinking that it seemed like it was just yesterday that we picked her out at the Animal Friends as a tiny kitten.

September used to be my favorite month. Then both my parents died in September (93 & 05) and also 9/11 happened.

I'm sorry for your loss. You have a right to mourn and be sad--you lost a loved family member. But with all your pain, you still understand that your sweet Tigger is at peace. I will keep you in my thoughts.
