Losing weight for WDW?

Does anyone else feel like they're addicted to food? Say like in the same way one would be addicted to smoking. I hope I'm not alone. Everytime I see a commercial for something good it bugs me that they play those commercials but they would never, and are not allowed to play a cigarette commercial. I know I'm ranting :crazy:

So okay, I haven't made any progress that I've been able to hold on to, but I have a new motivation. I got my DH to agree that since I LOVE to eat out, for every week that I loose at least 3 lbs and keep it off, we can go out to eat on either Friday or Saturday. I figure why not try to use my "addiction" to achieve something. Fight fire with fire. It's at least worth a shot.
 
I am working a straight second shift while my wife is in nursing school. After I drop the kids at school, I meet a buddy of mine at the YMCA and we get our workout in. It really helps if you've got someone to do the workouts with you. We work out 5 days a week, M - F. We'll do 30 mins of cardio, which equals about 2.6 miles on the cross trainer, and then lift weights for another 45 mins. My wife says she can really see a difference in my appearance :cool1:

I like to work out with people too...that is why I like Curves...the ladies at the one I go to are all very nice and we have nice conversations while we work out.

In a few minutes, I will be working out with DFi for the first time...he will be on the treadmill...me on the bike...

I have lost a few pounds and inches and hopefully will be down another 15 for my Dec trip...

Can I join too? We are going to May 2007 sadly I need to lose much more then even 50 pounds. My friend and I have started to walk 3 miles a night. Our complex has killer hills which are great.

I have done WW many many times. By week 3 I give up and just start eating everthing in site. This time I am eating really good during the week and when the weekend comes I am giving myself permission to eat what I want. Yesterday we went to a birthday party. The food was amazing. I ate what I wanted even cake. I surprised myself when I only had one plate instead of 3 or more. I was happy with what I had. Huge huge improvement. I didn't feel deprived at all. Yeah me!!! :banana:


I also am not setting a weight goal. Instead I want to yes lose weight but also become stronger by working out.

Just joining everyone here, hoping to get some encouragement and motivation, and perhaps give some as well :goodvibes I've gained 25# since starting nursing school and I was already needing to lose 30 :( So I'd love to lose 50# or more by our trip May 23, 2007 (or even better, by graduation May 6, 2007!!) I want to be a healthy nurse and mom.

Well, I'm happy to report that this morning I met my first WW goal!!! My BMI is no longer in the "overweight" category. YEAH! My next goal is 10 more pounds, but I somehow doubt I'll lose that before our WDW trip (in 21 days).

I have a bikini I'm planning on wearing to the pool. It won't look sexy on me (lol), but at least I'll feel good in it. :) :)

Does anyone else feel that that WW's weight goals are rather low? They say I should weigh something ridiculous like 104 pounds!!! I don't ever remember weighing that low at 12 or 13 years old! My personal goal is MUCH MUCH more than that.
