Losing weight for our weddings!! See new thread.

So I have been on weight watchers for 2.5 months now, and any weight I have lost I have gained back. I have been under on my points, and don't even go into my weekly points, and I exercise a lot! I think it just doesn't work for mt body! I'm going to keep going until my 3 months is up, than I am switching to another.

Last year, I followed the Prevention Health Tracker for a few months (until I got really busy) and I lost 15lbs. It is free, and I really like Prevention's website. I should have just gone back to that, but I thought WW would help more :sad1:

If you are working out a lot, stop paying attention to the scale and start taking measurements! Muscle ways more than fat!

I weighed in again today (every saturday). I am down another 1.5 lbs and 6.5 INCHES for the month. 2" in my bust (back), " in my waist, 1 inch in my abs and .5 in my butt/hips!!

Have to see how today goes, my problem is soda... I love me some coca cola, and dont even suggest moving to zero or diet, they taste like poo :rotfl: well IMO any way.

I'm just having a look at the prevention site now to see what it's like.
 
Hey girls, please add me too, I'm joining too, it's time to get serious for the wedding! :cutie:

I've been doing WW since last September, so almost a year now, and have lost 25 lbs so far. I haven't been to many meetings this summer, so I'm not sure what my actual weight is right now, but my clothes still fit so couldn't have gained too much, I hope! :laughing:

I have another 15 or so lbs to lose to be at my goal weight, but I wanted to lose a total of 20-25 more as a personal goal.

It's been a great summer, but tomorrow is back to tracking and WW and I also have to start exercising too. :rolleyes:

I know what you mean about the Soda, I used to feel the exact same way (lol, with Coca Cola too!), but actually I forced myself to drink diet soda (Diet Pepsi is my favorite!) and now I like it just as much, shocking but true and I would never have thought that. I used to prefer to drink water to having diet soda. So maybe give it a chance and you might be surprised. It was probably about 2 months or so before I really started liking it.

You can also try diet iced tea mixes, diet snapple, crystal light. While I liked them, they did not compare to a soda for me.

hey girls. im getting married next september, ive been working on my weight too! i joined WW in june and i just joined a gym, and i highered a personal trainer for 2times a month for a year (not a lot to meet but just so i have someone to show me what to do!) i started working on my weight in jan. 08..i was at 160, im at 127.8 ( i had my ww meeting today) my goal weight is 118 so i have just about 10 more lbs to go :banana:

Boardwalk bride-your problem if you are under your pts and exercising alot is you may not be eating enough for your body...i had that problem for a bit, so your body is holding on to any food you give it...that or you could just be right, and WW may not work for you, it doesnt for everyone (im suprised it worked for me lolol) but just thought i would share that my leader constantly told me i needed to be eating atleast the amount of points per day that i was given.
 
hey i'd like to join you ladies. I've been trying to work out more and have healthier habits this whole year. It's worked to far slowly, but when i saw my pictures from the DL 5K walk I was so ashamed at how I big I looked. It made me realize that I need ot get my butt in shape literally. And now that we've officially booked our wedding it gives me more motivation. I started at 195, and am currently 182. My goal is 145. Our wedding date is march 12th 2011.
 
I'm not enjoying the calorie counting nonsense! :lmao: How is it possible, that before, I'd eat what I want, only exercise a little, and barely put on anything. Now I'm exersicing like crazy, watching what I eat, and still I'm either just under or just over my calorie allowance every day... :confused3 :laughing:

Anyone out there using the leg magic? I use it with Rosalie Brown's work out and find that it has me sweating bucket loads by the end, but I don't know roughly how many calories it burns per minute... Anyone able to help me out?

Hey ladies a quick sweet treat that's about 1-1.5points on WW (I forget which one haha)- Take 2 tablespoons of a cake mix or a brownie mix and mix with 1 tablespoon of water(I use a custard cup) and microwave for 1 minute. It's amazing but it gets really hot so be careful! My favorite is the Ghiradelli brownie mix:thumbsup2

As I said before, I have been tracking my calories/fat/nutrition info on prevention.com. I find whenever I have over 20 grams of fiber, and less carbs, I am more full and satisfied on those days. For breakfast, I have been eating 1/2 cup of all bran cereal, and a smoothie with skim milk, raspberries and low fat yogurt. That alone gives me 20 grams of fiber, and is low in fat and calories!

At the gym, I have been doing more weight training. I also try to do my cardio workouts as interval training, since I keep reading it is best for weightloss!

Ok i have 5 weeks to trim down for my fitting. I would like to lose 10 lbs but would be happy with 5-7...I'd also like to tone up my arms.

Anyone else in?? I'm willing to check in every day or every other day and help keep each other on track...I need some help too!:hug:
 
I'm still here! I want to loose 18-23 pounds....and I have less then 6 months! I also want to ton my arms. My mom bought me Jillian Michaels work out tapes, I will have them when I come back from my PS. I agree we all need support!

I'm in...let's keep this thing going!!! I would really like to loose 15 to 25lbs, mostly just for the swimming aspect. LOL.

I have my fitting tomorrow, so hopefully that will knock some sense into me!!!

I want to lose 30lbs. I bought the Wii Active from EA Sports and I know I'm getting a Wii Fit for xmas so that should help. I've been on Weight Watchers for 3 months and have lost 12lbs but hopefully when I start working out it will drop faster. Usually just working out helps but I need to learn to eat less.
 
Count me in too! I want to lose 15-25 more lbs. I'm on WW, although not being so strict for the holidays. I just started doing the Jillian Michael's workout videos, they are awesome! I started last week and did them twice since I was so sore, this week I have done them 3x so far, and I plan to do at least 3x a week. I've been feeling great since I started doing them and now I actually find myself wanting to do them! And I feel myself getting stronger too, the first week I couldn't even move for days afterwards, now I'm slightly sore and I can do so much more of the workout.

I'm definitely up for checking in everyday and motivating each other. =)
 
Today may be a challenge for me, since I am going out of town. I'm starting off with a healthy breakfast, so hopefully that will help!

Since I have been upping my fruits and veggies, my new plan is to cut all my meals in half, and replace the other half with fruits and/or veggies. Five years ago I worked at an "upscale" fruitstand, so I ate sooo much fruit and veggies. I didn't work out, and I went to the bar 5 nights a week (I just turned drinking age in Ontario). Somehow I lost over 15 lbs in 3.5 months, so clearly it must have been all the fruits and veggies! I'm off to eat an apple now!!
 
Hey girls :) Happy Friday!! Looks like I won't get a workout today, but I did do pretty good so far with food!! Instant oatmeal with cranberries for breakfast and low fat soup and yogurt for lunch. Plus water!! We are supposed to go pick up a treadmill from my parents...not sure when, but they will help. I have Wii active too!!

I was awful today. I had McDonalds :(

I stayed home today from work and I find being homme leads me to really bad habits, lol. And what's worse is that I am now on xmas break so no work for 2 weeks! Ahhhh, bad thing for my diet.

Once I'm back at work I plan on hitting the diet hard. We will be moving as of Jan. 5 so that will be a good workout ;)
 
I was bad today too, holiday party at work. But I knew I would be bad here and there before christmas and then start seriously on the diet again afterwards. I do still plan to workout at least 3x a week to get into a routine in the meantime.
