They are a tough two things to combine (Losing Weight and Looking Healthy) as I'm finding out...

My method just consists of eating only when I'm hungry but always having a healthy full natural dinner each evening but I'm feeling tired and weak as I persevere and people are saying so to me!

The purpose of my weight loss is for the obvious, getting lighter - But this is really to assist me in mobility as I have an issue with one of my legs, also to flatten my chubby 'handles' around my back so when I bend over I don't look fat. I plan to reach 132-135 pounds from 165 that I currently weigh at which point I will restore a normal healthy diet to maintain this weight and feel good.

Four times a week I do a cardio workout at the gym and sometimes I exchange one of those, but always have two days where I do a mix of cardio and strengthening workouts with weights.

-------------------------
Anyway, That's just me!

Any of you teenagers trying to lose weight aswell? Maybe we should stick together and give some encouragement here :P

Portion control. Eat slowly, and stop when you're satisfied.

Sounds like you have the excercise part under control, but don't over-do it.

eat a lot of meals, but in small portions... if you eat 6 small meals a day, your metabolism really speeds up.. and your exercise plan sounds good... but if your looking for a more slender build, i dont recommend weights.. thatll give you a hulk build.. strength train with your body (push ups, sit ups, etc etc)

you sound like you're at a good weight now. How tall are you?

I don't know my height but I'm average. Problem is that I have a chubby appearance so I want to feel comfortable at the beach and pools etc

Don't want to be a jerk but my diet is to eat as much as I want whenever I want. I am about 5'9" and 145 an I am trying to gain weight for football next year. If you see me you might think I am anorexic but I am not. I eat a lot!!!! For me I used to do a lot of weighted sit ups. I used to do 10 sets of 20 and raise the weight each time. Another thing is I play a lot of sports and that keeps me in shape at all times. I am going to start running too.

Yea im rougly 5'9" and weigh roughly 140 but most of my weight is muscle and i play soccer so im in good shape so i wouldnt think you should go under 140. Sit ups and leg lifts are great if you want to get a flat stomach im not sure about what to do for your back though, maybe oblice(sp) twists or something :confused3

IM about 5'8" and I would like to build up a little more.

How old are you because if you are 14 or older I would say start lifting weights. Start off with the bar and gradually add weight on. It also depends on your genetics if you parents are taller than you I would say do push-ups rather than lifting because you still have a chance of growing. Lifting does stop you growth so only do it when you are pretty sure you will stop growing. If you want abs do weighted sit ups.

Quick way to convert is to google this "71kgs to pounds" and it will do the math for you :P

You can do this with currencies too like "150USD to NZD" will convert US Dollars to New Zealand Dollars at the current rate although which bank values it uses, I'm unsure.

If you use "1kgs to pounds" you will get the ratio quickly too
1 kilogram = 2.20462262 pounds
1 pound = 0.45359237 kilograms

so I've gone from 75Kgs to 71Kgs or 165 pounds to 156 pounds =) Enjoy

You can also build these up to this sort of thing
(75kgs - 71kgs) in pounds
returns
(75 kgs) - (71 kgs) = 8.81849049 pounds

I knew that it was 2.2 pounds to a kilogram, I just did the math in my head at quarter to six in the morning. I throw shot, discus, and javelin on the track team and those are all weighed in kilograms, but people in the US look at you funny if you answer '4.4 kilograms' or '1 kilogram' when they ask you how much something weighs ;) .

congrats
=]

I think i'm bordering under-weight but i want to lose some because my thighs are horrible.

I know this is an uber old thread but though I'd update -> down to 68 kgs =) (149.914338 pounds)
