Losing the Magic?

You guys should see what we bring on cruises since we just have to drive from Tampa..............there is one suitcase that we have that would would never remotely dream about taking on any kind of airline - it is a "cruise only" bag. It is a monster. We even told the porter and our stateroom hostess that it was a "team lift" suitcase. (True) :lmao:

Edited to add:

I really didn't mean for my post to turn into a dress code debate, just something DH and I noticed while abord the Magic. I basically wanted people to know that to us, the ship looked beautiful and was not falling apart.

Palo has changed. There is a new chef, and he has changed some of the dishes and has new rules. It was definitely not as good as it was on the Wonder in August. A little disappointing.

Errors in the Navigators. Unbelievable. I can't believe that Disney, who prides themselves on attention to detail, was asleep at the wheel on that one. It wasn't one or two, it was a few every day.

The Palo manager literally called us 3 times to remind us of the dress code - maybe they should shift the focus to enforcing it in the main dining rooms.

Just off the same cruise (as you know) :goodvibes

When we went to Palo, we were told that the normal chef was on vacation for a week and this chef (he told me his name but I forget) was only filling in for him for this week only. He said this chef is the food and beverage manager and will go back to that position when the chef comes back "in a few days" ???????

Palo manager left us a message too about dress code which I though was odd.

OMGosh, the errors in the navigators!!! I thought I was the only one who noticed. Even guest services didn't really know what was going on either. Thats what I wrote on my comment card too. Those errors were unacceptable.

Our serving team was terrible. Friendly yes. Slow is an understatement. I can write more if you really want to know. If you get Iketut and Aly....ask for a change.

ETA: we did notice a water drip, maybe a drop every minute, in the theatre during the shows. It was 2 rows in front of me and I was fixated on it the whole time. It drove me nuts :) Also the arm rest came off about 4 seats over from mine.

I just cant believe the people who leave their trash in the theatre!!!! It was horrible.

THANK GOD. Really. We are going back on the Magic in Oct., and are doing brunch this time for sure. This time, we sch dinner because we couldn't get brunch, and didn't want to go thru the hassle of trying to get it on the ship. After our meal this time (good, just not up to regular Palo standards), we vowed that if we couldn't ger brunch ressies on-line, we were heading right over to do them when we board the ship Oct. 1st. Knowing that the normal chef was off makes me feel much better, though. (Although, the sous chefs should know better, too and should've helped the fill-in chef!!)
