Losing Magicbands?

I have been using my MB+ about 9 months now (originally got for WDW Sept 2022). And I have never had an issue with it popping off. I have used it for 2 WDW trips and many day visits to Disneyland with no issues. I am kind of surprised to read how many have had that problem.

I was surprised too as I'd read similar comments on a different forum before today. I haven't had any issues either since purchasing. (Another super small wrist person here; I removed the excess band so that it's shortened to "child size.") But I'll add that since some did experience problems, to be safe I bought the bands, too. I've been using them for the last couple of months. Figured what could it hurt as they're not expensive and it's just extra security. And least I can change out the colors if the mood ever strikes!

I usually trim off the 'extra' bit of band that's tucked under on your right side. It might help a little, but I can see how wide the top part + the puck are. Very easy to get caught on something!

Yeah, trimming the band won't change how wide the puck is and last time I removed the larger outer band on my MagicBand and it was basically a kids one, I regretted it. It was then too tight once it got hot and I swelled a bit from water retention.

I lost my MB on day 4/5 of our trip last week. I popped if off somewhere when I put on/took off my backpack for the 1000th time. It was an older one that I got when they used to send them to you gratis so NBD, but yes, it does happen. You can set up your "Wallet" on your smart phone or Apple Watch to act like a MB - that's what I did. They will also just make you a card to act as an MB - gratis. Personally I like the MBs but I really don't see myself ever paying for one.

Yeah, trimming the band won't change how wide the puck is and last time I removed the larger outer band on my MagicBand and it was basically a kids one, I regretted it. It was then too tight once it got hot and I swelled a bit from water retention.

You can cut the larger band - I cut mine so that there are just a couple of holes after the kids' size. Removes the extra but allows a little bit of room.

We are buying the sliders! My daughter’s pops off occasionally, though she always noticed immediately. Two weeks ago, my brand new Club 33 MB+ popped off my wrist as I headed to the parks from the Toy Story bus. I had just purchased it a few days before, when friend graciously invited us to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. I noticed as I was passing through security, ran back to the bus and couldn’t find it.

Just as I was (sadly) telling myself that it’s just a (hard to replace) piece of plastic, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things….the security guard who’d searched my bag ran up with it! Someone turned it in to another guard, and he found me as I was (somewhat dejectedly) heading toward DCA. I was really touched, and immediately started searching for ways to secure the bands.

I didn't realize you could get Club 33 MBs. Are they in the merch case in the club?

They’re new! We went the first weekend in June, and I believe they’d been release the week prior. They are available in the merch case, to all guests, and cost about $55.
