Welcome home, Doreen! Who would have ever thought a snowstorm in October would delay going home!! Gotta love New England weather! So glad you made it home safe and sound...and that POR had 3 more nights for you!!

I've been reading along and only realized the other day, that I've been reading, reading, reading, but forgetting to post!! Loving the TR!

Hi Christine. Yeah I never would have dreamed we would get snow in Oct!! I do not book trips in the winter for that reason. I guess God & mother nature had other plans for us.

Thanks for reading along & posting. I love to know who is reading but a lot of them are not posting.

Kathy you gotta love the empty streets right?? There were even some empty streets on Halloween night before the party started. I was shocked!! But then I saw all the people at the gates coming in around 7:00 & was even more shocked. LOL!!

I loved seeing Mater and Lightening McQueen at Epcot. That was a nice surprise when we were there.

Here are some buddies we spotted along the way:

We did the new HM queue

It is a lot of fun going through the new queue.

According to my notes we rode Space first thing in the morning and got a FP for it. Jeff & I decided we were getting kind of old or Space was getting kinda old....

We did Buzz & Mikes Laugh Floor. Ryan & Cody love this show. After that we rode BTMRR & got a FP for it. We then went back to Space & rode it using our FP.

We had an early lunch as we had an ADR at Via Napoli at 4:30.

We took the train to the train station:

The boys stayed & rode a little more while I wanted to shop at the monorail resorts:

I know it is great getting there early. Thanks-we loved the extra days but ready to come home. I had packed light & did not even have all my medications with me. I learned a lesson-bring the pill bottles with you. You may never know how long you may be there & need to take your pills. I just had my weekly pill container with the days filled that we were supposed to be there.

We headed right to Via Napoli.

Can you say cute waiter???? OMG his name was Gabriele & he is from Milan. I believe he was the cutest one there:

Jeff & I had the Coopa Amarena Lasagna

And Ryan & Cody had the Lasagna Verde (vegetable) which they were not wild about. It as so much cheese & not a lot of sauce. They both felt the same way. Jeff & I enjoyed ours. I had 2 Sangria's (very good)!!

And Cody got this even though our receipt says they both got Tiramisu-apparently our cute waiter Gabriele messed up the dessert.

I thought it was very good there. After our meal we headed back to MK but here are some pics of Epcot

So all day today I was texting with Anita (Wigdout) as they were headed to Disney. I wanted to meet her, Marc & Baylor. They were on the road & we kept texting. My hope was that they would make it to MK before we left as it was our last night.

Brook (brookelizabeth) & I were also texting as she was coming in this day also for a girls trip.

In the meantime we were headed to MK.

Yes we finally made it home. We had the last row of seats on the plane!! When we landed in NH the pilot said Welcome to the Bahamas.

YES Anita I think I bought out the mall. I did get a great buy on a coach purse & some sweaters & then some indoor cleats for Cody. Let's just say I bought a few things. It was a great day for shopping as the morning was pouring. By the time we left the mall the sun came out & it was gorgeous out for our last night.

Thanks Jackie. Do you mean the waiter from Via Napoli?? I thought it was really good there & cheaper than Tutto. Although they have great looking waiters too!! I need to get caught up on your PTR! Probably tonight as all my
guys are going to be watching the Bruins & Notre Dame.

Hi Rosie. I LOVE Tiramisu but I was so full. That is one reason why I am not doing the dining plan on our next trip in April. I would rather eat my meal & then have dessert a few hours later.

I am anxious to hear who you meet up with!!

Both of those Via plates look pretty good to me. The second one does look very cheesy, though, and I think I might prefer the first one. Via is high on my list of places I want to take the whole family sometime, but there is no way we can get in on this Christmas trip, so it'll have to wait.

I'm glad you got extra days in Disney World on this trip, and I am also glad you finally did get your safe trip home.

Thank you MeMom. Yes we did get home safely. I was ready. I enjoyed our extra days but was ready to see Ryan, Cody & Willow.

I left off where we headed to MK. We got a spot for Spectro on the sidewalk by City Hall as I was on a mission. I needed to go and get our tickets upgraded to.........

Annual Passes It was our first time with Annual Passes

We knew we would be going back within a year as Cody is graduating high school next year so we will go in April & then we ended up going this past Oct for food & wine & as some of you know ended up staying there 3 more nights than planned so the Annual Passes came in very handy!!!


After I completed my mission we sat & waited for Spectro to start & Brook had text me saying she would not be able to make it to MK. Anita was texting me saying she was not sure they would make it. They were hitting LOTS of traffic but they were still headed to MK. So we watched Spectro

And this float is just beautiful

Then we moved down Main St. a little & got a spot to see the Memories Show on the castle. What a great show

All these pics were taken with my now "old" Nikon. I have a new Cannon X40 that I just took on our Oct. F&W trip & I love it!! Please come on over to my TR (when I start it). I will post the link. It may be tomorrow!!

So after the fireworks Jeff & I went to sit in front of Tony's. The boys were riding & doing Mike's Laugh Floor. At 11:30 I got to meet a celebrity......

It was so great meeting you Anita & Marc & Baylor. I wish we could have spent some more time together. I know you were hungry & off to find food & I was beat as it was our last night & still had to pack up. So we had our little chat & went our separate ways. It was a great way to end our trip.

So off we went back to POR & it took me over an hour to pack up.

The next morning we were up around 7:30 so we could check our luggage, eat at POFQ & catch the Unmagical Express by 9:00 as we had a 12:00 flight home.
I always take pics of the resort while waiting for the bus

So that is about it. I did take some souvie pics when we got home

Final Thoughts:

It was great trying something new by going to Universal. I am glad we did it & the boys loved it also. I am glad I was brave enough to try all the coasters as it was a lot of fun & I would have missed out if I had not tried it. Hard Rock Hotel not really worth the $$$ but the front of the line passes made up for it. Would probably stay at the lower priced (Royal Pacific) onsite hotel next time.

Loved my Disney time as usual. We had another great stay at POFQ. Never have a problem there.

I love spending family time together & especially at Disney. I cannot wait for April now as that trip will be another family trip & celebrating Cody's high school graduation (which will not be until June but will take the trip in April).

Great ending Doreen !!Can't wait for next TR!!! I am still plodding thru my 2 !!I don't have a definate date for Disney next year!!Unless finanaces improve it will only be my Free Trip !!I am hoping for May/June or Sept/Oct !! The same times apply for Universal ,it will just depend on whether there is enough people who want to go to Universal inthe Spring . If not it will be Disney in the Spring and Universal in the Fall !!!I am still hoping for a 65th celebration around December for the Holidays !!

I hope we manage to work out a trip together in the future!

It would be great to get a trip together. I am planning a park/cruise trip for our 30th anniv. in 3 years. I think Jeff is finally giving in for a cruise so we will see. I am planning on Oct. next year just not sure when in the month yet.
