Loop Request

I read a while back that someone suggested faxing in a loop request a couple of days before we are supposed to check in. I asked for either the 100 or the 200 loop when I made the reservation. Do you all think that I should send something in or just assume that what I requested when I called will be enough. Thanks for the help!!

Many on the board swear by faxing in request 3 days prior to arrival but we have had very good luck getting our request by just having it noted on the reservation when we booked. It can't hurt but I don't think it is necessary if you are sure your request was noted when you made your reservation.

This was the standard practice for most folks to ensure getting the room or view they requested. However, it has now been reported that resort managers are simply tossing the faxes becuase the central reservation system actually assigns them on your initial call. So be sure to request on your initial call and hope for the best. Never hurts to be extra nice and polite to the reservation cast member assisting you with reservations. Most are reporting that their request are being honored whenever possible. I was even assured that I would be in the loop I requested when I made my reservations for June.
Disney wants happy campers!!

My wife makes 6 resies at a time, one per month, usually 3 months before the first stay to 9 months for the last and requests a certain loop and we have always gotten what she requested. She has never followed up with a fax or a call. Maybe we are just lucky.

We are usually pretty lucky as well, most of the time our request is honored, on our most recent stay we booked preferred and REALLY wanted the 1400 loop (6 Month old Nephew's First Trip), so we called 3 days out and were told to call back in 24 hours, we did and were told they do not take site requests by phone, we mentioned we were told to call back just a day before, Oh Okay let me transfer you, we did get our request, the cast members don't all seem to be on the same page or just like to give you a hard time, but when you go often and know the ropes its hard for them to bully you:eek:

I will find out shortly if they honor requests for certain loops. Will be arriving next Saturday and will try calling in a few days ahead. Will post a result.

When we made our reservations, we requested either the 100 or 200 loop. Just got back on Sunday afternoon from a week in the 500 loop.

No.....we didn't get our requested loop but it looked like most of the campers in 100 and 200 loops could have been long term camping. The 500 loop wasn't too bad. Just a little further from the Settlement.

There was a water line break in the 500 loop while we were there with a backhoe digging up the road and blocking traffic most of the day. As luck would have it we were in the park that day and it didn't inconvience us much. And by the next day they had it all cleaned up and blacktopped.
