We are going next November from Wed to Wed before Thanksgiving (can't remember dates). First time at the Fort.

We will be in a 30' fifth wheel with a 6yo and 18 month old girl. We are planning on renting a GC from Kenny as well.

What's y'alls recommendation for Loop preference? We've already made reservations, but have not requested a specific loop.

Thanks in advance.

Loop preference is different for everyone.
For a example, I like to fish so I would like to be onna canal and close to the marina. And we also have a fur baby so we need a pet loop.

Depends really on what you want to be near. I recommend the 1200 loop. we were there in October and absolutely loved it!

Also depends on what level of site you booked - Full, Preferred, Premium?

Hi Firescooby. Welcome to the disboards. :cheer2:

Our RV home base is in Paradise Valley in Cleveland. We absolutely love it up there. We live in Cumming.

It looks like you are going to get some snow accumulation up there tonight. Stay warm.

We've got an inch or so, supposedly a little more on the way.

We've got a lot in Mountain Lakes, and live just south of Cleveland.

That narrows it down a little. I would prefer to be close to the Marina area so that would be Loop 100, 200 and 300. For me, because we always travel with the fur kids we would go to 300. Loop 100 and 200 are great loops. I think there are preferred loops closer to the Meadows pool, but have never stayed in any of those. Decide on location and we can narrow it farther.

I am booked for a preferred.

That narrows things waaaaaaay down, as there are only 3 preferred loops left - 100, 200 & 300, with 300 being a pet loop (although pets have been spotted on 100 & 200 on occasion too).

All 3 of these are close to the Settlement/Marina area. Map HERE

300 is also close to the playground and dog park.

You shouldn't have a problem fitting your rig into any of these loops, although since these are the older loops, some of the entries into them are at weird angles and might require a little skill and/or patience. Also, if you have slides, there are a few sites where you might need to negotiate some trees. Just be sure to note in your request what you have (incl. slides) so they can try and get you in the best site first try.

i've stayed in both 100 and 200 loops. 200 has far less traffic. Especially carts cutting through to the settlement on the short cut. i've always wanted to try the bear loops but the wife wins out every time.
